Coilovers

Afternoon all,

Looking for some feedback from Australian members on potential coilovers that don't cost $4k plus like the kw v3...

What have you got and what do you think of them?

Hi mate,
I don't have any currently, however am in the process of choosing. You can get KW V3 shipped from USA from certain forum sponsors for closer 3k AUD.

I am probably going to get Ohlins however. I hope to get them in the next 4 weeks and will report back once I do.

Cheers! 3k aud?! Link me! With the crappy exchange rate all I can see is 3k plus all the taxes

haha I said closer to 3k, and I am assuming avoidance of import duty which might be an error on my part. I'll send you a PM with the details of the deal I was considering regardless.

I recently installed JRZ RS Two Touring coilovers. They were more than 3k so PM me if interested in details.

Cheers. I am looking for a cheaper option. Not sure I am a long term for the m2 yet but want to lower it a little to love it more

I saw on prospeedracing Australia site that they have ohlins r & t for less than $4k for other BM models so maybe around that for M2C? Might be worth a check.
After mucking around with suspension on my S550 Mustang, Koni sports ( with custom valuing) and numerous sets of springs I can say, that you should buy something you can adjust rebound and compression and height if you are moving away from M engineers std. settings. When I drove M2C demonstrator big issue was ride. Car is well damped, v. firm but not jiggly, but you feel the hits. I drove it on my normal commute and I think I can live with it and I think my wife can too. She won’t ride in the Mustang. If I find I can’t live with it, I think I’ll go Ohlins with softer spring than recommended. So am interested to follow what folks will do in Australia.

I have a set of the BMW M-Performance coilovers that I will be installing soon, will let you know my impressions. These are 2 way adjustable, made by KW Germany. Think they were like 3.5k landed..

I bought a set of ohlins about 6 years from prospeed. Price was competitive and had no issues.
