255/35/19 F with 285R?

I am running 255/35/19 fronts with 275/35/19 rear and its time to replace the rears. I have a pretty heavy right foot and would like to go up to 285s for more traction when accelerating. I thought a 20mm diff was ideal front to rear, but is a 30mm going to cause any issues.
Thanks
Rob

I think that's the question. Street you'll likely not see the difference in stagger, but probably will notice the improved rear grip.

Track duty. There has been some reviews favoring the 20mm stagger for lap times. My opinion is that it really depends on how you like to drive the car. I went to a square setup for track and love it. Others said it's no good.

I kinda like the stock 245/265 on the street. 295 square on track.

If anything it's probably safer on the street.

You will have more understeer / less oversteer at the limit.

1. There is no real standardization with tires, so the 285 you get is just as likely to be 2mm wider as it is 10mm wider.

2. More than anything you're going to increase the height and weight of your rear tire.

3. Rarely does a slightly wider tire increase acceleration. Wider tires are for increased handling.

4. If it's acceleration you're after, first drop the pressure in the tire, second get a stickier tire, third get a wider tire. Extremely few exceptions to this rule.
