Cup 2: 245/35 + 265/35 star OR 265/30 + 295/30 non-star

As per title, anyone have any thoughts/experience?

I have previously run 245/35/19 + 265/35/19 Cup 2s on stock power, 763M wheels, on track, and they were fantastic.

But, I am now moving to stage 1 and I am wondering do I move to 265/30/19 + 295/30/19 on the Cup 2. The only issue is in that size, there are no BMW/star-spec options. So, will I be compromising on the compound by increasing the width...? Or is it a worthwhile trade off.

Thanks

Are you continuing on the same rims?
If so you should not go this wide on 9" and 10".
For 9" the 265 get a little to wide 245/255mm is best.
At the rear 10" 285mm is max.
What you want requires 9,5-10" and 10,5-11" unless you want that rolling feel on track. If you don't track it's ok.
Stage 1 power is fine for the stock tires.

I went with the stock size Cup2 240 *. I think that the steering is more precise and the grip is just right for having fun without ruining the car dynamics.
