Yes different day different results but 50 whp is a huge difference. We are not talking small variations. |

It comes back to what I said previously don't take the numbers as absolute. When more M2Cs run on the dyno with 93 the picture will become clearer. I would also like to see a boost curve chart between the M2C and the M4 as well if there is one. |

It would seem that throttle response should be better on the M2 and proportionately less throttle required from a stop to get same amount of torque. So M2 should feel snappier in the city.

First of all, thanks a lot "tom @ eas" for those figures! Now it's quite easy to see the differences between M2, M2C and M4.
The N55 starts a bit more agressive in the beginning, but the S55 is just amazing at higher revs. Apart from this, you can see that the progression of the M2C and the M4 is more or less the same until 4500 RPM. From there onwards, the gap between M4 and M2C starts to raise until 7000 RPM. So BMW just "detuned" the M2C a little bite above 4500 RPM to keep the distance towards its big brother. Just one question remains for me as an European, using different units. Those HP are wheelhorsepower, right? How can I convert those figures into brakehorsepower? FT-LBS ist quite easy (0,7376 FT-LBS = 1 NM). Thanks in advance. |

Converting these power ratings is a bit dicey. I think the thing to do is to dyno a stock M2, M2C and M4 on the same dyno, on the same day, and with the same type of fuel. That way it is an apples to apples comparison. In addition, I'd really like to see the difference in the EU and US M2 Competition versions on the same dyno. That is probably not likely to happen unless a military person driving a US version M2C in Europe is willing to do the dyno comparison.
