Haha. True.
When ordering, the salesman specifically told me that there was no OPF on Australian cars. All media at the time said OPF was only Euro spec. I don’t have mine now so I can’t go and look underneath it. Pretty easy to check if any Australians on here. A moment later while trying to remember nearly 6 years ago…. …Actually hang on. Now I remember. The build sheet for the car specifically said no OPF. |

Correct.
That is also why we got our cars last (many are 21 date plated even though are MY20)- because the early build slots had to be allocated to Europe due to the emissions date cutoff. |

Hi,
Sorry to bring this thread back up, so can anyone confirm that petrol cars coming into Australia don't have a gpf/opf. I read an article somewhere although it was written a few years ago that most petrol cars didn't because the fuel wasn't compatible with it. Just trying to find out as although I am from the UK, I am moving back out to Oz end of this year and my X3M has an aftermarket mid pipe so the OPF has been removed and coded out. |
