Thanks all! Really appreciate the comments and feedback. Vids are almost done and will update soon.

Staszek Tbh, I went really easy on the Ring. Never full power and I kept it mostly in third and fourth. Next time I go I will either have the break-in done before or rent a similar car. The Ring rental had just gotten their own M2 and was breaking it in at the time. My buddy rented a Sirocco Cup+ and we beat on that instead. At the very end of the trip heading back into Munich I may have given my car some gas, but not for long

Got ya! Yea it was REALLY hard not to push the car for that time. My ED was 2200 miles long so I got some break in time first, I went all they way around to Paris first (through Monaco lol) back to the Ring.

Next time I am renting a car though, I was pretty scared to mess up my new car and didnt push as hard as I could have.

Nice write-up. I did a very similar journey as you last year, but swapped Lucerne for Zurich and stayed a few hotels further up the coast at Lake Como. Oh, and drove to/from the UK!

If you go back again, don't miss the Furka pass. You were about 20-miles away when you hit Andermatt.

Lucky you were breaking the car in as speeding fines in Switzerland are insane and they will chase you down! Though mainly the German areas, the French and Italian side don't seem to care. And when you get to Italy, no one seems fussed with how fast you drive (outside of built up areas).

This is one of the nicest captured EDs I've read! The fact your Sig other came along makes me want to convince my wife to do this with me...

Awesome write up. Love the details, pics and the food. Reminds me of my first ED and first write up. Lol. Laid out pretty similar. Hahaha! http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=905116

You were able to do so much in 15 days. Some of your things I didn't do until my second and third ED.

Congrats on the car!

If she is not a BMW fan already , it's the best thing you can do. You also @zoominrex

My Ex wife hated my E30 M3. It was like the car was another woman ( it was a street car that she loved when we dated that as we were married it became a track car .. so .. ). She hated the idea of even going to Europe ( yep!) and thought it was a waste of money. When she found out I was going with or without her... she decided to go of course. She loved Germany of course. Loved the people and loved the trip ... When we got back from ED.. within 5 weeks she bought her first BMW ( a used e46 vert from a coworker ... then an e46 M3 vert... we divorced and since then she has bought another E46 sedan ... an E46 M3 coupe... an e84 X1 and now has an E90 328 hardtop vert).

All of these she has purchased used ... and she only owns one right now but still.. She has now owned more BMWs than I, and I started with my first in 1993

GREAT write up. The only issue with doing an ED is you want to do another... and another. The feeling never goes away and is rekindled when threads like this are posted! Thanks for that!
