SoCal Canyon Carvers (M2) Meet 2
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com Update: The next SoCal Canyon Carvers Meet will tentatively be held 3/24/18 (weather dependent). Subscribe here for details http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...php?p=22713391 ***** we had another SoCal Canyon Carving meet today w/ 14 M2's, an M3, an M4, and a 911 driving thru some Malibu canyons. Enjoyed the beautiful SoCal weather in November blasting thru canyons and eventually making it to Neptune's Net for lunch. We started at Starbucks in Woodland Hills for a quick Cars and Coffee before heading out to our drive. Shout out to that random matte green M2 that passed by, probably oblivious to our meet. while i put this together, i didn't actually have time to do a dry run to check the roads out, and the last time i ran these canyons was back in college. so a special thanks to lax01 for leading our group while i played the part of sweeper to keep our group together. our preliminary route: we didn't get to actually run the whole route though because of traffic and we got stuck at two of our stops. one of our members got their drone stuck in a tree up a steep cliff. then another member had a slow leak that had to be tended to. overall it was a great day of driving and meeting a bunch of enthusiasts. here's my photodump. i didn't get to shoot as much as i wanted to. hopefully others will post their pics and videos Video: keep an eye out in the regional forums for the next meet. or if anyone wants in, pm me your email address or phone number and whether you want to be alerted of SoCal or norcal meets that i put together. i won't use your info for anything except meet info. So jealous!! I have been to California once, did the highway one on the coast north of San Francisco. All I can say is that you guys are lucky to have all these amazing roads!!

Any rear shots of the last mineral grey M2 with PSM dynamic rear spoiler? I am interested in seeing the spoiler on a live car from a few different angles? Thanks.

You let a 997 in. How’d it fair? I imagine too much traffic to really wring them out and see. I’d suggest big tununga to ach at the crack of dawn if you want to avoid other cars.

My gallery...
View post on imgur.com A few of the better ones: Thanks for organizing... ACH with Little and Big T next time? I know those roads pretty well too...higher speeds, less blind turns...less traffic too. More fun in my opinion...just let me know and I can put a map together. We could also break the group up into 4 or 5 cars so we aren't pushing people who don't know the roads and who don't want to go quick... |

Nice drive, some of which I cross on my way to work.
Of this group, did anyone happen to count how many of the cars did not have a front plate vs. did?

Fun day!
MG might have been the most popular color this time around. We only had 2 at the previous meet. Also shout outs to the "YEEEAAA BEAAMEERRSSS" guy. |

I think the plan is to have one each quarter (generally). Just keep checking the Cali regional boards and subscribe when it pops up.
PS-I saw two other M2s on the way back that were not part of the meet. Spread the word! |
