Here is a simple reason why 788M wheels will be heavier than 427M wheels:

I won't want to clean them, so 10lbs of brake dust will accumulate.

M3/M4 M Performance exhaust

Look at the difference. MPE is much narrower and isn't as bulky as stock muffler on M2C. I hope BMW will come up with a similar MPE design for the M2C.

Margins are crazy on M Performance parts. When I ordered my M4 two years ago, I agreed to pay invoice pricing and my sales guy emailed me the order sheet that contained both MSRP and invoice prices of every option and accessory. I had CF trunk spoiler, diffuser, and MPE on my order and the invoice prices were 18-20% cheaper than MSRP. Since I agreed on MSRP on M2C, I will not order any accessories with the car. Planning to order everything later online and save some money on the parts

MPE is a good looking setup. Always like the sound of Active Autowerke system on the F8x, has a deeper tone compared to other aftermarket setups.

With the Electronic double flaps In the exhaust, can't you get one of those Valve controllers to get a bit more decent sound?

An Euro Delivery has always been on my bucket list. The savings are a bonus, but it mostly appeals for the experience. However, I'm torn, because there are drawbacks as well, especially when buying a car like this, that would be my "baby". The thought of the kids climbing in and out of the back for a couple of weeks and probably scratching the door sills and spilling snacks and drinks all over the car would be a buzz kill. Also, a friend of mine made a good point, and made me aware that during the shipping across the Atlantic, the car now lacks all the protective films and is a bit more prone to the elements. Granted, those might be some OCD worries, but it just doesn't appeal to me on a car that won't be a DD. I feel the experience would be more enjoyable with a car that I buy for the family, as they tend to trash it over the years anyway. It would probably ruin my vacation watching them do it to my new M2C.

I've come to the conclusion that these wheels are fugly. They are too flat. the color won't matter. I would like a wheel that is dished more. Also there are too many spokes. I can't believe someone signed this off as the wheel to go with. Sorry! Biggest fail on this car!

that's some crazy OCD and inaccurate worry...

there is ONE serious drawback of European Delivery. The 6-8 week wait for the vehicle to get to you. Period. Anything else falls under Chicken Little sky is falling..

KIDS messing up interior. This one is on YOU as a PARENT. Nuff Said.

RENTAL CAR - For ME.. I was HAPPY to be in my OWN vehicle for a European vacation. Who likes being in a rental vehicle? A rental vehicle in another country? NO THANKS. Going back to your kids... would you rather pay extra to the rental vendor for the messes your kids create damaging the rental car?

SHIPPING - EVERY BMW MADE IN GERMANY IS SHIPPED ACROSS THE ATLANTIC. Your car will be in MINT condition when it arrives in the US. Your local dealer will re-prep your vehicle before delivery in the same way as if it was shipped to them without Euro Delivery. I tried to get my dealer to NOT prep the car for me.. because I had the full delivery treatment. They would not. I may just post a photo of it ... it looked amazing!

the car I picked up for ED was not a daily driver either...

You're a little late aren't you? The first round of excessive complaining was the grilles, then everyone turned to the weight of the car. Now it's all about the muffler aka spent diaper. But wait, there's more! We still don't have good sound clips of the exahust... yet. Stay tuned to the Diva channel.

Exterior design is first and foremost to me when choosing a vehicle. It’s something you’re stuck with the moment you take it home. It made me turn in a c63 after 3 months for an e92 m3 because I can’t get over the blandness of it. The previous M2 though not perfect looks very appealing. This new look with the front gills is just way too big for it. I do hope it grows on me as well.

For U.S. customers, there is a 5% discount (used to be 11%), a free night at a hotel, and free insurance for 2 weeks. Shipping back to the U.S. is also free.

Best part of it is the delivery at the Welt, the tour of the museum and the factory (which is REALLY cool), and then the opportunity to see Europe! We went from Munich, to Prague, to Salzburg, to Dinklesbuhl, to Munich on our last trip.

Next time, we'll do Swizerland and Italy!

What’s odd is 90% of the complaining was/is from current M2 owners. They wouldn’t have a bias would they...that’s preposterous.

You know IND will offer a grill with painted center for those that can’t handle it. Personally I wouldn’t change a thing, grill works very well with new angular/aggressive front.

It looks to me like you don't understand what worry is. It's OK, it's not important. This is a car forum, no need to get in to psychology 101 here.

You either don't have kids, or you don't care as much as I do about keeping a new car as close to new. Everyone is different. But again, neither is wrong as you called it, and it certainly has nothing to with parenting. You can tell a kid to pick up after themselves a thousand times, and they still won't (always) do it.
