M2 competition blue callipers Ferodo part numbers?

Hi all,

I have been trying to find out the part numbers for the Ferodo DS2500 front and rear pads for my EU spec M2 competition and am getting conflicting information!

My car is the EU version so doesn’t come with the big brake kit as standard. I have the stock blue callipers but want a fast road pad with some more bite and the DS2500 would be perfect. Does anyone know what the part numbers are and also if they come with the sensors or can the sensors be retro fitted?

Thanks in advance!

Any pad that fits the OG M2, F8X M cars or MX35i/MX40i cars will fit the blue M2C calipers (all the same except the M cars get better dics).

See here for OG M2 https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1270915

Hey Jeff, I’m hearing good things about the new DS3.12 compound for the track. What’s you guys’ experience?

The new DS3.12 is an incredible compound. I installed them about a month ago in my C6 Corvette with our brake kit. They are pretty much impossible to fade, have great initial bite, don't require a ton of pedal pressure, and the flattest torque curve we have ever seen from any pad. They are long-wearing as well, and they don't even make any noise! The DS3.12 is one of the best compounds we have ever seen from any manufacturer. Ferodo just won a bunch of races with them in Europe over the past couple weeks, including a complete podium sweep in one instance. We are really excited about them!

Unfortunately, we don't have them in the OEM shapes at this time. I'm also unsure when we will. Ferodo has been overwhelmed with the positive initial response to this new 3.12 compound. They're struggling to keep up with demand, so they haven't issued it in all that many shapes yet.

We do however have them in the shapes for the AP Racing calipers we use in our brake kits though.

AP Racing Caliper / Ferodo Part#
CP9660 = FRP3144
CP9668 = FRP3014
CP9449/50/51= FRP3018 (42mm radial depth used in the vast majority of our rear kits, or FRP216 (50mm radial depth used in our Porsche GT3/GT4 and McLaren kits)

Wow, that’s great to hear!

Hmm, no noise. Would you run these year round, or do they have too much bite for smooth street driving?

The DS3.12 are technically race pads, but so are the DS2500. In my opinion, the DS3.12 has a level of bite that is completely controllable in any environment. They definitely aren't so sensitive that they make the car jumpy or hard to drive...not even close.
