Interesting though, as the configurator shows the 'Squatch Package is only available with the 10-sp automatic trans. I guess we'll have to wait until December when the real ordering process is available.

It's a tough call for me because I want the vinyl interior and rubber floors which only the Badlands and Black Diamond have. The Badlands has some of the stuff I like to have such as the 4.7 diff ratio and a locking front diff. Locking front diff and 4.7 ratio can only be had in the Black Diamond if you order the Sasquatch package, which as of now requires the automatic trans.

Bronco Delayed to Late 2021, Sasquatch + MT to 2022

It was originally scheduled for a spring 2021 launch, but now the two- and four-door models won't arrive until the end of the summer, and the Sasquatch version with the manual transmission will be even later.

Ford did not disclose which suppliers are experiencing COVID-19-related issues. Orders were originally set to open on December 7 but are now delayed until mid-January. Customers can still configure a two- or four-door Bronco on Ford's website configurator, however. Reservation holders have until March 19 to finalize their build and dealer selection, agree to a price, and place their order. Previously, the deadline had been January 31.

Broncos equipped with the Sasquatch package and manual transmission will now move to the 2022 model year. The off-road-focused Sasquatch package includes 35-inch tires, an electronic transfer case, front and rear locking axles, a 1.2-inch lift, larger fender flares (to fit the big tires), and heavy-duty Bilstein shock absorbers.

The delay does not affect the smaller, crossover-based Bronco Sport, which is arriving at dealerships now.

I can’t wait to see the new full size Bronco in person. The baby Broncos I’ve seen in the wild seemed pretty disappointing. My father placed a refundable deposit on a 2 door badlands trim. Hoping he doesn’t back out!

Yeah I’ve seen a few Bronco Sports. They looked so plasticky, cheap and weak. I hope the full size turns out better.

The Sport is pretty much the return of the old boxy Escape, I think its a nice little vehicle, but definitely not a Bronco, but like the Mach-E a smart marketing move that will surely provide sales. The new Escape has become more car-like to replace the Focus.

Almost 20% Of Ford Bronco Buyers Are Ordering The Manual Gearbox

Quote:
There’s little doubt that the manual transmission is dying, but it won’t go the way of the Dodo just yet.

Shortly after it was announced that Ford has secured over 125,000 orders for the 2021 Bronco, the automaker’s design strategy director, Ryan McManus, revealed that 18 per cent of orders have been for models with the available six-speed manual transmission.

What makes this take rate for the manual Bronco particularly impressive is the fact that the stick shift is only available on models with the less popular and less powerful 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, rather than the 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6. Had the manual also been offered for the V6, we suspect the take rate for the manual might have been even higher.

Ford is obviously willing to give its customers what they want. When the new Bronco was first announced, the car manufacturer said that the hardcore Sasquatch off-road package, complete with massive 35-inch tires, would only be available with the 10-speed automatic transmission. However, after an online petition calling for the Sasquatch package to also be offered with the seven-speed manual, Ford relented and made it happen.

Given the off-road-focused nature of the new Bronco, it’s not a huge surprise that many shoppers want the stick shift. After all, for those who want to venture off the beaten path, having a manual can make crossing difficult terrain at slow speeds that little bit easier.

I'm one of the eighteeners.

$825+Ford install gets you a warranted Ford tune to 315 hp 370 torque. More than enough for the 2-Door lighter versions.

Finally got to look at two in person, both 4-Doors, one auto and one Manual! Would definitely take one over the Wrangler.

Sasquatch look worth it in person? It seems the majority of the Bronco forum members are going with the upgraded wheels on the Badlands vs the Squatch.

I'm not too familiar with package details or features so I'm not the best judge but both cars looked awesome, the Manual was a badlands model I believe.

In the pics, the dark blue one has Sasquatch and the grey Badlands has the upgraded Badlands wheels.

Thanks for the clarification. I preferred the looks of the Sasquatch model, although mainly because of the color and lack of bull-bar up front. The wheels also look better on the Sasquatch model. I spent more time in the Badlands model since there was a family checking out the Sasquatch model and I was interested in the manual. Both great cars though, will honestly depend on your preferences. I'll probably be going back later with some friends who have one on order so I'll hopefully be able to spot some more differences.

I love the exterior but the interior is not up to par with my expectations. Yes I know Ford has a target demographic. Maybe 30 years ago I would already be in one.

Boy those interior plastics look hard and cheap. I suppose that's par for the course given the intent of the vehicle.
