Sorry I meant other TRM models in the 18x9.5. Some don't like the 'TE37' look of this wheel.

I apologize for misunderstanding your question.
At this point, there are no other TRM wheels available for the M2. This may change overtime, but that is hard to predict.
Thanks again for asking!

Sorry to sound like a skeptic, but how are these wheels so cheap? Are quality and durability sub par? Seems too good to be true.

Good question. I can see why the price point could make you skeptical.

TRMotorsport line of wheels has been around for several years and have been most popularly used with track packages. The wheels are made in the same factory as many other Tire Rack wheels, as well as competitor’s wheels.
Tire Rack works very closely with the wheel engineer and designer, who both came from a very well known Japanese (racing) wheel brand / supplier.

The wheels are priced as “racer direct” to compete with other wheels sold by other race shops. We do not advertise this wheel on the website or in publication. Consider the pricing similar to a "group buy" for forum members.

Thanks for putting this "track" wheel set up together so early in game for the BMW M2! Love that Tire Rack sponsors SCCA, BMW CCA, etc. and caters to the track and autocross crowd. Thanks!

I will be buying a set as soon as I have my M2, but can you confirm that these will work with the 265 tires square setup on a STOCK suspension without adding negative camber?

And what if in the future I add camber plates? Will these wheels still fit with no rubbing?

Is a 275 tire possible with or without extra camber?

Yes, these will fit without rubbing and without negative camber using a 265/35/18. A 275/35/18 will more than likely require adding some negative camber, but that has not been 100% confirmed yet.
Being that the 2-series is known to wear the outside edge of the front tires, negative camber is highly recommended for anyone who is actually taking the your car to the track.

Is it just me or does 24lbs on the wheel sound heavy? aren't the 18inch wheels on the 235 24lbs and the 19inch m2 wheels lighter?

this may sound silly but since those TRM wheels are a great deal, was thinking they could be used for a winter setup.

Was just about to say this. 24lbs doesn't scream track wheel to me at all. I guarantee that they are indeed strong, but 24lbs for a track wheel is laughable.

Agreed. For $50 more per wheel, get full forged Bimmerworld TE:AL. Around 18lb. Apex make descent flow forged wheels for less as well.

Cast wheels on the track?

I do agree the OZ wheels are not light. OZ tells us this is one of their strongest wheels, although it does come at a weight disadvantage. These wheels are built in their race facility, right next to Formula 1 and rally race wheels. This wheel is not marketed on tireack.com for the M2, so I wanted to make it known that there is a wheel currently available in these specs for someone looking to build a square track package and needs something soon.

As for the TRMotorsport wheels, they are designed to be strong, cheap, track wheels. TRMotorsport cast wheels have been used on the race track by many people for over a decade now and we have had very good results with them.
I don't think there are many wheels that fit these specs and quality at $165 per wheel. There are many people who are looking for a cheap track set up and we hope these wheels fit that niche.

Any time an order is placed with TireRack.com and Bimmerpost is referenced, the forum gets a small percentage. These funds keep the forums we all love to use up an running.
Please make sure you reference the forum when ordering.
Thanks!

When I was in the market for track wheels for my e36 I was between the C4 and the ARC-8. After much debate and taking weight into consideration I went with the ARC8. However, when I was doing research, the C4 had great reviews. Another option to consider when shopping for track wheels are the Kosi K1. Although I'm not sure if they make them in the size ideal for the M2.
