Full Screen CarPlay

I finally did it! I hit up kubax86 and it works great! The instructions he sends are very clear and even have an FAQ section....which I needed. Really an essential upgrade. Highly recommended.

Thanks kubax86!

I experienced a few "bugs" very soon after the full screen mod. Haven't had any problems since in the last 2 months. May have been a coincidence.

Thank you!!!!

Could you elaborate? (I have a 2020 M2C on order, so I'm a little hazy).

Does the car come with full screen? Or does it need to be hacked?

Your "the car is too new to get the full screen" comment threw me for a loop.

TIA

Fullscreen does not come from factory.
Also, there is no something like car is too new for fullscreen, just his software was updatef and solution for newest software is a little tricky.

Now that Carplay is free from BMW I will do this.

I think there were some concerns or issues that could arise when doing this during the pay period of carplay.

you need to contact him first, along with your vin#. He remotes into your laptop and installs the firmware.

I used this cable.....

He didn't remote in for me, I just downloaded an app. I did need to borrow a windows laptop, but it worked like a charm.

Just installed full screen carplay! Looks amazing and functions perfectly. Having that extra quarter of screen estate actually makes a giant difference. Highly recommend.

I messaged kubax86 on here and he responded very quickly. The process was incredibly easy and at a very reasonable price. Definitely hit him up!

This is related but not specifically about full screen CarPlay...

Is there a listing or does anyone know the differences/updates between the different NBTevo_(M,N,P,O,R etc.) versions?

Thanks.

Thanks.
Version equal or higher than N supports Fullscreen.
N and O could be activated using USB.
Any higher version need ENET cable for activation.

Thanks

Yes thanks I understood this. I was wondering what changes/bug fixes BMW made to the software for the different versions. It’s not uncommon to have Release Notes listing the changes when a new software version is released.

They don't provide list of changes.
