Blank Button by Shifter
Has anyone figured out anything to do with the blank button by the shifter? Any additional electronics, or an "Eject" sticker at least?

That's where the active suspension button would be if so equipped (and of course no M2 / M2Cs are so equipped - but they re-use parts across products)

Heard someone added a button and wired the m performance exhaust remote control. Saw someone do that on the steering wheel too. It's somewhere on the forum.

Personally I would go with #5 since the parking sensor switch should actually be functional without any modification or coding: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=61_3302 Quote:
For the MPE, I think the best someone did was to create a really nice mount for the controller in their dash so that it looked more integrated. Don't think it was hard wired in though, still battery powered. I did however successfully add OEM front and rear fog light buttons and got those to work: https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1646587 https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1450178 Myself and others have also successfully retrofitted an OEM parking sensor switch: https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1345311 Lol I had one of those in my MK5 Jetta. They also make some other funny ones like an oil slick and nails/tacks. Haven't seen anything like that for the BMW market though. Last edited by AndrewC1989; 12-21-2020 at 12:17 PM.. |
