305/35/18?

Hi guys,

On a stock suspension 2018 M2 can you fit a 305/35/18 in the rear? If so what offset / wheel width would you recommend? I'm considering a lightweight 18 inch setup for the car and would like to go wide in the back for as much traction as possible. (Likely 255/35/18 in the front if it'll fit)

A 305/35-18 likely will not fit without a healthy amount of negative camber and possibly need rolled rear fenders depending on the exact tire chosen. A 285/35-18 or 295/35-18 would be a better option if running stock suspension and alignment settings.

If trying to run an aggressive staggered setup, I would recommend a fitment similar to the one listed below with stock suspension:

Front: 18x9.5" ET28
Rear: 18x10.5" ET40

A 255/35-18 front tire should fit no problem. If you sized up to a 265/35-18 you may need a little negative camber up front. A 285/35-18 or 295/35-18 rear tire should also be ok.

This is all assuming that you have the smaller brake package. No 18" wheels can clear the 400mm 2NH brake setup.

Thank you this is great information! I have a 2018 M2 (N55) with the smaller brakes. (Currently running 18 inch snow tires/wheel combo)

Could you please explain what a smaller brake set-up is?

The M2C has the whopper of 400mm brakes that don't allow for 18" wheels. At least that is standard in the US. The rest of the world has the option to get the standard blue brakes which are 380m.
