Thumbs down Where am i supposed to keep the driver manual booklet?

Youd think bmw would make the glove box a inch wider so i can put the drive manual package in, thats where ppl usually keep thrir insurance and registration all on one place

But it doesnt fit nicely in there!!?

So where is the PROPer place than bmw wants u to keep that thing?

Such an annoyance, could be solved easily if at least 1 bmw engineer has his head screwed on straight

Haha it's funny you should mention this because I thought the exact same thing when I got my car. I don't know about making the glove box bigger, they could have just made the book a bit smaller, but hey! I just jam it in there as with the above picture.

At home.... Only find it when you sell your car.

I put it under the floor of the trunk right next to the battery

Given that the manual is downloaded to my handheld and is searchable there, leaving it at home seems the best answer to me.

In my 1M I stored the leather map under the boot-cover (without valuable identification docs thieves are looking for, of course).

Same goes for my M2.

1M:

M2 (ignore the red circle, it was a picture taken in the past to show the location of the MPE master switch; you notice the leather map at the bottom of the picture):

Psh, they couldn't even align the seat right, they could care less about that owners manual and glove box.

At least there's a perfectly sized 33cl cans holder in the back.

Yes and the manual packed does not include one for the electronics, NAV, audio etc like before...they refer you to the I-Drive or you can order one and purchase. They are trying to steer away from paper manuals in the future

Me too.. Maybe because the owners manual is contained within Idrive it wasnt considered mandatory that a glove box be roomier to allow it to be stored flat with room to spare.> still, mine is stored there no problem.

I was poking around in the online owners manual the other day and found this stating that you should refer to the printed manual.
(Ugh, need to figure out how to get this to properly take a cropped image)

Perfect fit & zero rattles. Try it and be amazed. I did spirited stints in the mountains and these never budged if full.

However, always three or these fly around + if you got an empty 33cl can, put it in the third position (deepest & closest to the backseats).
