CA is an easy way of losing your car.
Or just getting it stripped in your driveway. Not a lot of fun waking up to a vehicle missing all its infotainment, steering wheel/air bags and the automatic shifter. Even harder to get a tow when you can't even take it out of park.

Other feature: normally your EURO-spec M2 CS also features the additional 12V-socket under the glovebox (a lot of EURO-spec M2 owners don't know that they got it), apart from the one inside the cup holders.

Compare with the USB and 12V-sockets inside the M2C: see here.

Like Comfort Acces.

I tried and it soes not work, so am I doing something wrong here?

Tips and tricks anybody?

Thanks in advance.
Comfort access is not available on M2CS. I had it that OG M2 and will miss it as well.

Great pics too. Thanks a lot.
I notice that the front splitter is hanging quite low. Do you experience problems at our infamous speed bumps.. There were no problems at all with the OG M2.

A lot of speed bumps where I live, but no issues what so ever.

I admit I do drive very slow on the speed bumps, no scraping !

Thanks! That was one of my first concerns when I saw the gap between the floor while they were picking up my CS for transport to the beauty center.

I park my car in an underground garage, so I was anxious if it would scrape while driving in and out of it. It is going up and down fairly steep.

But no problems.

Some updates after 1000km driving;

1 CS is a delight DD, so much better then the OGM2, the suspension has brilliantly improved !

2 Engine loves to rev, it feels so free and easy going.

3 It is a quiet car, even at starting up

4 DCT while in S, is on par with the PDK, In D it can`t match the PDK, it is not bad, but its different (I supose due to different software settings)

5 The front Carbon Splitter is low, but ground clearance is enough. I`ve managed so far not to scrape it

Stil 1000km driving to go, than 1st service, than unleash the beast

Yes. That's the fundamental difference. Porsche recommends you drive theirs as an automatic and has even removed the shifter in the 911. BMW doesn't. The day I let a car shift for me other than being in bumper to bumper traffic or a car park is the day I sell my car and get Ubers everywhere.

Damned... all alone by yourselves? Haha. Jokes aside at least u can get to enjoy the rides u like.. And most importantly, it's fairly affordable in the west compared to Asia..

Besides, our Asian culture always emphasise on building a family.

The next-generation M2 does not go in production until December 2022 so you won't see it until early 2023.

Have to say;

This car is really quick, it takes off in S3 with immense pace and acceleration, while stil running the car in and max revs at 5,5K RPM.

It does not surprise me the Germans measured it at 491HP.

Under load the S3 is very fast, either shifting up oer down, really much much better than the 2015 M4 DCT that I test drove, really no compression any more !

As a OG M2 owner, this makes me anxious to see if I'm getting a CS allocation here in the States. I'm hoping US allocations come out in late August or September.

If I don't get a CS allocation, I'll be disappointed but made the decision to save up more money for a new 911 (at least an S, not doing Base). Unfortunately, nothing else BMW makes excites me. Going from a OG M2 to a M2 Comp seems like a small difference and doesn't interest me. Not when I had my heart set on the M2 CS for the past 1 and a half years (early 2019).

The new M3/M4 look ugly and are HUGE. I can't help but think the M4 is a poor man's 911 Carrera S. The G82 M4 CS and CSL will be inferior to Porsche 911's just like the M8 and will be overpriced and depreciate rapidly like the F82 M4 GTS/CS. By the time the G87 M2 CS comes out it will be 2025 or later (maybe 2027 or so). So again, nothing but the F87 M2 CS excites me in BMW's lineup.

^Same for me, the smallest M is the nicest one.

The whole BMW line up does not do it for me, too big, too heavy (Even an M2CS is too heavy to be honest)

But it`s the nicest one to drive and steer. The bigger the wheel base, the worse agility is.

On stepping up OGM2;

I think its fair and honest to mention that upgrading from the OG M2 to the M2C, and from the M2C to the M2CS isn't worthwile IMO.

Steps are too smal on technical progress, to grant form a price point of view.

The only logical step to me is the upgrade from a OG to a CS version, both technically and financially justified. Thats why I did it.

For me it was the logical step as well and more than justified.

>1.300 km driven

Car is becoming better and better

Lovely engine, so eager, wants to rev.

Comfort suspension is almost to comfortable For inner city driving, bad roads, its really is worlds better than the OG M2, no harshness what so ever, the interior does not shake al over.

While pushing around I would recommend the suspension a little stiffer. Like the OG M2; the faster the car driven, the better it got.

This car comes alive when pushed.
