That I'm not sure, the only pics I've seen are top view. I will have to let you know once I get my hands on the actual product

Yes, the inside is titanium with a sleeve of carbon fiber over it.

Anyone have any high rpm or fly by videos of a Remus Race installed on non opf car with stock midpipes? I can't find any clear videos on youtube, the launch promo videos don't really help. High rpm ones out there are mostly AA midpipe ones.

Just got the Race axel back (secondary cats and resonator in place) on a non OPF car installed and its sounds droney all the time, unlike all the S55 full Akra setups I’ve experienced.

The tips are kind of large and touch together too, will adjust them later. Kinda disappointed by the drone though. For reference, I've had the ASD off since 2k kms on the speedo.

Wonder if it will break in with some heat cycles and carbon buildup?

Thought the Akra setup sounded bad for the money, but it’s better than this tbh.

Local akra/remus dealer. The tips touched near the back when I asked them to pull them out a bit, probably my fault, but there is less than 1mm of room between them normally. Using rolled edge steel tips.

My tips slightly touch, not a big deal to me. The drone doesn't sound right at all. Do you have an exhaust leak somewhere? Zero drone here. In efficient mode it basically sounds like stock.

Maybe the cut wasn’t perfect so the clamps didn’t tighten as properly? There could be a numbers of things causing the drone, but usually with just the axel back it shouldn’t. I hope you get it fixed. I’m installing the race with the aa mid soon, fingers crossed I don’t get a bunch of drones

Disaster averted. It was user error again. I was using m4cs exhaust flap actuation settings in bm3, it probably had flaps open all the time. I flashed oem m2c flap actuation and its much more manageable now.

Very deep tone and rumbling burbles. No annoying drone in the 2.5k to 3.5k range because flaps are closed with oem sport+ settings in some rpm ranges now.

Hey Mike,
What is the size of the exhaust inlet?
I have two pairs of 70mm aftermarket exhaust tip. Wondering if that will fit on Remus

I just had the Remus race plus AA mid pipe installed yesterday on my m2c with DCT. And my first impression is wow this is exactly what I want in an exhaust set up. Itís loud but definitely not too obnoxious. I love the deep sounding of this combo. The braaap upshifts are amazing and so are the pops and crackles. There really isnít any drone except you do notice that thereís an exhaust there. I would say that the only downside of this setup are the cold starts. It brings out the worst sounds in the s55.

I have a tiny problem with my Remus race with AA midpipe setup. On the tips the left side looks perfect but on the left, its sitting a little too close to the rear diffuser. Anyone have any tips that could help with this would be appreciated

Loosen the clamps a little and Adjust(rotate) the connecting pipe between that's sides muffler and the midpipe. It will allow you to easily lower / raise the angle of the race mufflers.

That will give your tips more clearance

Edit: do the same thing for the pipe that has the valve and the far right / lefts tips if it's just those ones that are uneven or touching.
