Yeah, I've talked with the dealer about it a little bit. Primary things planned:
- No cup 2 tires, so they should handle the colder temps okay
- Dealer will hold the car until roads are clear of snow if that's an issue so I can get it home. I may have them flat bed it to my house if needed.
- Not going to let it be sent out for detailing or PPF at all.

Past that, it's on transport vehicles etc and will handle the weather fine. The tires and driving it home are the only real hurdles to fight. The PSS tires should handle down to freezing okay, just not safe to drive if wet/snowy.

My dealer just confirmed that they were able to change my tire selection from Cup2 to "mixed performance" which sounds like it will either be PSS or PS4S....I'll be happy either way.

I hope to have a ceramic coat done, then PPF on forward facing surfaces before driving it regularly.

very concerned with winter delivery. Week 48 build. Add 6 weeks to arrive...... and I am in the deepest darkest part of winter in Michigan. From what I understand, driving Michelin performance tires below 45 degrees can - potentially - void the Mfg warranty. Let alone driivng this car home on a salty sanded sloppy road Ill need cooperation from my dealer

This lead me down a rabbit hole, I was trying to find the official answer for you then stumbled upon a 61 page PDF presentation posted on the Porsche PCA website on Michelin Pilot Cup Tires - very interesting stuff.

That may have convinced me to always by the tire developed for the auto manufacturer.

Mine says scheduled for production without a date. I called the 800 number and my SA said it still hasn't been set. I'd guess I got the later date allocation and they don't want to tell me even though I knew I was second in line. They never told me what week possibly...

Anyone have the list with what dealerships got what allocations etc? PM it to me please and thanks!

Mine still just says "Scheduled for Production" as well on the website. However, the BMW Genius told me I am week 41/42.

I wonder if some cars will get batched for options? Color, brakes, tires , wheels? Can't build if something isn't available?

Mine is scheduled for 11/2 - 11/8 (week 45?). Status still says "order received" and probably will for a looooong time.

I called last week and checked the automated system and it didn't have the info. I had to get an actual human on the phone.

I've been checking every day and for a car that is supposed to be completed before October 1, its still showing in production queue. I'm guessing it will jump to finished and skip everything in between!

Not sure with how fast we put it in and confirmed with P1 why it slipped from the original confirmation of week 41 to week 42, but whatever I guess!
