TPMS for Canadian cars
I saw this post: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1575298
The thread stated that all newer BMW's come with TPMS standard, but just not showing pressure and temperature on the idrive screen. Is that true? Has anyone successfully coded tire pressure and temperature to be displayed on the idrive screen on a Canadian M2? |

Canadian cars dont have tpms sensors...only a cheaper system that uses hub sensor for tire pressure. Not sure we can see individual pressures but the system will show low tires ...as I had a nail and it auto picked up the lower pressure on idrive.

My Canadian f87 does not have sensors in the wheels. It just uses the wheel hub speed sensor to determine if a tire is low. I have 3 sets of rims and interchange them, no sensors in any of them. You can code it on but you would have to install the sensors in each rim.

Which year? I believe they installed TPMS for 2020 models. OP I'll be removing my summers off the OEM wheels in a month after the car comes in but it's a 2019 model. Will let you know here either way. |

2016 and 2017 definitely do not have TPMS, I'm not sure if any of the 2018s did have it or not but I do know that it has been confirmed on here that Canadian cars did start getting TPMS. I think all M2Cs have TPMS but I don't know if the last of the original M2s also got it or not.
The easy way tell if your car has TPMS is to look at the valve stems, if they are rubber then you have FTM while metal stems indicate TPMS. |

Hey guys, I have a 2020 M2C Canadian car, and there’s TPMS installed from factory. Now for winter wheels, do you know an aftermarket brand I can buy ? Thanks !
