If the info is legit, it's pretty much in line with the rumors and spyshots. No big surprises so far.

Hmm... does anyone have a pic of an F8X in MG with those rims? I like them because of the two-tone look but it's also the darkest I would get since I dislike completely black rims (they hide the wheels too much for my taste). My worry is that they look quite boring when combined with MG.

I don't want to buy another white BMW just because the wheels are a nice fit for that...

I had to chuckle when I read that. I always plan to get them on my next car and somehow it never plays out for some reason.
At least I'm not used to them, so no big deal for me.

Most likely because of the shape of the front bumper. Wouldn't be the first car to have that limitation.

Got similar information last week: The dealer said they have no infos on the M2 so far.
But who knows... international distribution works in mysterious ways, especially in the car business, so I'm not surprised when we see new information popping up in other countries first.

Carbon roof isn't listed on M3/M4 order guide, not even under standard features. It lists moonroof under options, but nothing about it replacing carbon roof.

Carbon fiber interior trim is listed on M3/M4 order guide under standard features.

Most interesting part is delivery date of March 2016 and that is an euro demo car.

US buyers have a long wait ahead of them, Spring at earliest.

Thanks. But it won't look like anything until at least 8 months from now.

Great little feature imo...
I've never owned a car with PDC or a RVC. Every new car I've ever gotten I've gone through an acclimation phase. I literally get out and view distance, several times if necessary to be able to judge how much room I've got. Takes a few times but once you're attuned to the dimensions of your car it becomes second nature.

I've never bumped anything in my current car of nearly 5yrs. That said I know this just won't work for some people.

And for the 8 years of driving cars before i got my BMW i never did either. But i suffer from a medical condition that causes me to have a very vauge sense of visual depth perception so any parking aids are very welcome to me.

To me its a piece of mind thing to have those little beeps to guide me in my tight garage or a parkade.

Like comfort access, heated seats, or GPS Nav its one of those little things i have come to appreciate and couldn't see myself buying a daily drive car without said features

For the people who are not addicted to the M2 as if it were crack cocaine like us on the 2addicts forum, here's something that was conceived throughout the day.

May come out with LED lights prior to LCI. I know the 1M got revised tail lights before the 1 series LCI. If not, then expect the LED lights to be available when the M235i becomes the M240i (LCI).

It would be a possibility if the facelift was 2016 but it is 2017 for the 2-series if I'm not mistaken and 18 months in advance feels like a bit too early.

That is a good observation. Man, the LED lights really do make a difference, though. I've seen SaMaster14's next to an F80 without them and it's the first thing I noticed.

No surprise here. BMW is going to borrow as much F80/F84 hardware as they possibly can a lá 1M.....just not the stuff we REALLY want!
What kills me about this car....
Why not give us the option to spec an M3-like beast into the smaller M2 chassis and charge us M3 money for it??
If the performance, along with the cost of a lower model, overlap with that of a higher model, it gives both owners, along with the manufacturer, a "diplomatic" way out.
Everyone gets what they pay for and BMW instantly kills aftermarket tunes and makes more dough.
I realize it's a bold concept but it's just as silly to hold cars back from their full potential. There should also be room left for product versioning...win-win for all involved.

Attention BMW bean counters: off you go to the drawing board!!
Why not an M5 engine in an M3?
Why not this and that?

If you want upscale equipment, just buy the upscale car.

Nice rendering; probably time to delete the parking sensors though! I'm surprised by the lack of the front sensors, it's hard to understand how BMW would choose to not have them. Yes, I understand engineering constraints, but this is a relatively expensive car (in the larger world...it's expensive), and this is BMW. They should be able to accommodate this feature.

As for the wheels, I'd prefer silver. I guess the upside is that the stock black wheels (which, if they are like what the mules have, don't include the silver highlights as with current F8X M models) is that they'll be lower maintenance from all of the infamous M brake dust.

Yes, they do a lot. Was down at the dealer last week and the entry level 1-series LED-lights look awesome too and is probably what will be adapted to the 2-series later on.
