I started making money early (contractor) I had kid(s) as a teen, bought a house @ 19
Body was always beat up, knees and back always stressed so MB S430 2002 $75k seamed logical for comfort, why not I could afford it?!? I was to young for that car, it looked like it was my dads or I was a street pharmacist both embarrassing. Fast forward 2019, 36 I feel to old for this m2 especially because my teen son loves carbon bits and tint, it's his when he is a little older In short, now @ 39, I'm sticking to my comfortable crew cab domestic trucks for estimating jobs and taking my Theresa to the south end for weekend dinner nights Edit: I'm not in south Florida (flashy area) I'm in conservative New England, plenty of money here but hardly considered a car area, most 6 figure earners drive practical cars/trucks, maybe it's the water here? we are programmed to buy x5's and only x5 it seems, btw, I got that too, boring Alpine white of course Last edited by NEfan508; 03-11-2022 at 03:41 PM.. |

The F87 M2 has more headroom in the rear seats than the M4 due to that car's sloping roofline. Get the M3 if you want more usable rear seats. Only reason to get the M4 is if you like ugly noses and awkward proportions.

The M4 is quite versatile and excels on track. Combines best efforts of practicality and powerful fun.

@Feint
My son @ 13 was with me during euro delivery, he loves this car, spends an hour hand washing now he's getting Junior Operator license (aka Cinderella) he will be allowed to drive alone Not worried about him dogging it, he knows it's his in a couple years |

I know this thread is old, but I don't even understand the question. This is a conservatively styled BMW (depending on color), not some car with a huge wing on it and a fart can exhaust. I hope the OP got one and is enjoying it.
For the record, I'm over 50. Despite being in presumed peak earnings years, spending money on something like a 911 just seems like such a waste to me. Besides, the people that really follow them consider the base model a piece of junk (it's not). |

If you ask women every sports car (including M2), specially in a flashy color, is screaming mid-life crisis/freshly divorced
Personally I don't care - I like the look of the car, I could go on meeting with customers/other managers that show up in a Series 7/S-class without one hint of shame - I don't choose my cars based on the image/status, but on how fun they are to drive |
