I got my CS Racing spoiler today. Thanks for the guidance.
The holes instead of the threads in the tailgate look very large. Wasn't there any other way to remove the threads? Perhaps drill from above right down to the sheet metal? |

We put the trunk on a sawhorse and used the hole saw from the bottom to remove the threads. I want to say it was a 3/4" but don't quote me on that. Hopefully that's helpful in regards to what you're asking . This is the same way IND did it for their install.

Awesome work! So it looks like this mounts on the OEM trunk without needing additional support or anything?

I still didn't dare to drill
If the spoiler is firmly screwed to the side panels, the dimensions will not exactly match the threads. In the picture at the beginning of the thread you can also see the offset of the screws to the original position. For the exact centering I had drilled a 5mm hole in an M8 screw. |

Hi guys, any update on the CS wing mounted on the M2C? I'm planning to have one installed on my M2C, but i'm just worried that there may be problems in the measurements. I'm also worried that there may be problems in the long run, and I have limited resources since I'm overseas. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I still haven't installed it.
Time ... other projects ... Figured out that i need another drill bit to remove the threaded insert. Last edited by r-36; 10-17-2021 at 10:38 AM.. |

I saw a guy at Laguna Seca over the weekend and he had the CSR wing on his comp. it looked pretty dam good!
I really like how it integrates into the factory trunk and doesn't require reinforcements! I just really want to know what kind of down force it's capable of making. |

Well since none of you had anything to say about down force.
I reached out to a few other people. One of which was Amir from RS Future. They build TT aero and he said the CS racing wing is a capable tool for making pretty decent downforce. Ryan from IND also said on their green car that it has worked well. I purchased the CS racing wing and the RKP GP Front splitter. This should generate some balanced aero and a noticeable change on track. |

My guess:
Looking at the weight reduction on the M2CSR, seems that more weight was removed from the rear of the car (vs the front), so was the rear wing added to bring the car back to the preferred front/rear balance at speed? I'm not an aero engineer and I'm sure it's not this simple but but perhaps the downforce is roughly equivalent to the weight removed from the rear of the car? Seems they didn't add any aero on the front, so the rear wing is not exceeding the point where front aero would be necessary? |
