Honestly at this moment it seems surreal. The fact that I have never even seen the car in person, so it just seems fake to me. I am waiting for someone to pull the rug out from under me. I am sure I will not be able to sleep much the night before and the 1.5 hour drive to the dealer is going to kill me Saturday morning, but once I actually see my car for the first time it will become real. You won't be able to wipe the grin off my face with a chainsaw! lol

Did you get lucky enough to be forced (the car was already built) to get the $60 phone charging cable, $45 first aid kit and the $155 Floating Hub Caps (which list for $104 on BMW website???)? Floating hub caps - BMW spinners? LMAO I feel pretty luck to have these added expenses to my car. lol |

The thing I noticed about my M2 compared to all the other cars that I have had, was how much it felt like it was forged out of a solid piece of granite. Such a fantastic feeling (if you've never driven one). Congrats! |

I have driven a few and rode in a lot more, but that was all back in the mid 90's thru early 2000's when I lived in Germany for 8 years. And yes, the feel of German manufactured cars is unreal compared to Japan or the USA. Very solid feel and a good sounding thump when you close the door! I cannot wait to have mine own finally.

And not that it will make anyone feel better, but my wife's XC60 Volvo is on order to be built and not supposed to be delivered until May, so we know what you are going through. ;-) |

I only spec'd it because I enjoy driving with both windows down, sunroof open, and me yelling like a child when downshifting to 3rd on an open road. Weirdly, when I ordered my car, they added a bunch of nonsense stuff like the Floating Hub Caps, Phone Cables, etc, but when delivery was close, they took those items (plus the cost) off my tab since I didn't specify it. |

That is weird, but glad they fixed it for you. Unfortunately for me I did not order the car or I would refuse to pay for such addons. Honestly I am happy with the figures the dealership and I worked out, so I am not complaining at all.

I would love to, but after discussion with the wife, we are sticking with the Saturday morning plan. We both have work commitments tomorrow.
And it is a 100 mile drive one way, so going after work would make for a long day. We had planned on doing the V-Day dinner Saturday after getting the car and she can do some shopping in the city while I 'get to know' my new baby. |

Monday is a holiday, so 3 day weekend for me and then I have every other Friday off, so 3 day work week and another 3 day weekend. Now if the weather will hold out. Supposed to be in the single digits tomorrow.

Oof. Not that you're TECHNICALLY supposed to be getting into boost in the break-in (do whatever you want really), just be careful with the MPSS or Conti tires in the cold. Specifically the former, anything under 42 is not recommended. If it's high 20s or low 30s, it'll spin 3rd pretty easily.

Salesman already told me in an email that it rolled over to 13 miles when he took it to the wash rack. I can assure you that he is well aware I am very anal about how many miles are on it.
