I don't even have the M2C yet, but if the next car isn't an EV it will probably be a C43 wagon if they still sell it in canada by then. Test drive the M340i and fund it felt way too digital/boring for such a fast car.

Perhaps my age is catching up to me but after the M2C, I'll probably go slower with more fun in the corners via a restomod 2002tii. There's just something nostalgic about a light weight analog BMW.

I want my dream car....911 GT3.
Waiting for the 992.2 GT3, (it's going to be YEARS before that comes out) so I've got some time to enjoy the M2C. Last edited by MMMBRAP; 02-01-2020 at 03:44 PM.. |

G80 M3C, 6 speed. Maybe whatever Z06 option for the C8 will be? I need that 6 speed life though. If not, then i'll just get a G63 and lift it.

Wife and I haven't had the M2 for too long, but with every car we get I'm always thinking of what to get next (its a bad habit ), and since we switched the 5-series to the CLS, after 25 years of only BMW's, its made me want to explore some other cars out there. So far I have three cars in mind:
1) Boxster GTS 4.0 - I got the tail end of my father-in-law's 718 S lease and fell in love with the car in how it drove, but didn't care for the engine, thus M2 came in. I would love a convertible again, but pricing is likely to be high, as well as general maintenance, but still a high possibility for the next car. 2) Mustang GT350 - I recently just drove my friend's GT350 and it is amazing. I normally don't care for Mustangs but the car is impressive in almost every area, really only lacking in the interior since its not a luxury or German vehicle, and reliability seems to be a bit of an issue, but I really did love the car. 3) ND Miata - This one is a stretch, but the reasoning behind it is actually smart. The idea would be, get a Miata (new or used) and then spend the remaining money on another vehicle. See, between the wife and I we have the M2 and the CLS, and we switch between the two as our daily vehicles, and our son's X3 (which we use more than he'd like us to for the dog, home depot runs and general practicality) is going all the way to Florida for college next year. So the idea is, keep the CLS or replace it with something else, and then get another X3 (used) and then have the Miata as a more weekend type car. The X3 has been a huge help with the dog who we take out with us a lot, that and its the only vehicle he doesn't throw up in! If we don't do the Miata will likely try to replace the CLS with two separate vehicles, although I do love the CLS a lot, some tough decisions in the next year! Of course there is a fourth option, keep the M2! We are enjoying it a lot, and decided to get it over an M340i despite the rear doors because the car is so much more enjoyable than most of BMW's newer offerings all of which are getting huge! I swear, if they made a 4-door version of the current RWD based 2-series (sadly not happening because of the FWD GC ) I would put my deposit down immediately.

Generally curious, what you detest with the newest vehicle. I've wanted a 911 for quite some time, but honestly the prices are becoming way too high for when I could get two vehicles that I love for the price of one, and now that the Boxster has a flat-6 again it basically rules out any want of a 911 for me.

Really want that GT3 dream car next but... too far out of my price range. So... thinking euro delivery for a 992 T - IF they offer dark blue this time; if not, possibly a 718 GTS 4.0 (not sure if I'd go Cayman or Boxster) - IF they rectify the obnoxiously tall gearing.
Hopefully one of those paths works out - really like the wide rear fenders of the 992 (even if the interior is a bit less nice than the 991, there's only one analog gauge left, it has significantly more weight, fake exhaust tips...). Keeping the M2, so not sure where I'm going to put the next ride but a P-car is the only way forward for me after the M2 and I really wanna grab one before stick shifts go extinct (followed by combustion engines).

I’ve recently owned a ‘16 GT4, and a ‘18 GT3 Touring. Currently have a ‘15 Boxster GTS (for sale) and a ‘17 991.2 cabriolet (base), along with a ‘18 Macan GTS. Just picked up the ‘20 M2C a few weeks ago. Hands down the most fun of any the aforementioned cars. Praying for good weather so I can continue my break in miles. The car is a gem...

From most likely to least likely: - next M3 with AWD - used 991.2 Turbo - X3M - Macan Turbo - 992 911 C4GTS with manual (4L engine will surely be available AND with shorter gearing than in GT4s, but the price will probably be horrific) Or I'll keep the M2C and take the 3-motor Cybertruck that I "pre-ordered". |

I’m really looking forward to tracking the M2C. Parts inbound include Apex 9.5”/10.5” wheels, RE-71R’s, Ohlin RT’s, GC camber plates, Ferodo DD1.11 pads, and a full AA catback exhaust. This car is bada$$ :-) |

My plan is to keep my M2C for as long as possible, but I like cars so I still do think about this...
I do want a second car for winter and to put miles on. Currently I have a Chevy Colorado for this, but it's quite bland/boring. - Porsche Macan - Subaru WRX - Tesla Model 3 - Golf GTI or R - Hyundai Elantra GT N-line - Kia Stinger GT - If only they sold the Ranger Raptor stateside If I replace the M2C down the line, I'd like to stick with a MT. My favorite thing to do is take road trips and find great driving roads. - 981 or 718 GT4 - 718 Cayman GTS - Used newer Vantage - 991 Carrera T - Evora Also was thinking about a cheaper car to start doing track days (a little scared to take the M2C as I've never been before). - ND Miata - Hoping 4 cyl Caymans depreciate fast - C7 Z51 or Grand Sport - Lotus Elise |

I might like the new Bronco, dunno the specs of it yet. But the Arctic Trucks Toyotas are cool too. M2 is enough sports car for me and I don't plan on getting rid of it for many years. Though it does fine in the winter for me, I still love big lifted trucks. I had a 1987 Bronco with 40" tires on it and a built motor when I was 17. Owning a badass lifted truck may be even more impractical than my M2 is though haha.

M2cs if I get an allocation.
If not, no plans. I've had the car for 15 months now and it still feels as brand new as the day I got it. Not just the looks and quality, but moreso the feeling of getting excited every time I drive it and _still_ almost walking into things as turn back to look at the car when I park it. Can't see that ever wearing off. |
