Best S55 piggyback tune

Looking to tune my 2021 M2C without having to remove and ship my DME to get it cloned; this leaves me with piggyback options. I’m after a stage 1 tune, with no other supporting mods.

Carbahn
Dinan
JB4
Racechip
Else?

I’m currently leaning towards JB4, but just because that’s the one I’ve heard about the most. I also like the carbahn warranty option, but it’s expensive for what’s it worth. It looks like a stage 1 tune on the S55 isn’t really risky from what I can find on this forum.

Your thoughts?

My thought, leave it stock and don't piggy.

Unlocked DME or nothing, I'm not a fan of signal tampering boxes...

The jb4 is the best piggyback, and it's not even close.

I got the JB4 and am happy with its performance. I've always had my cars pro tuned, but given mine was a 2021 and didn't want to deal with the hassle of other options (I did try and get my local place to get my DME cloned, but they weren't very resposive which made me worry about issues if something went wrong) I went from 409HP to 455HP on a 90degree day with over 100 in the shop. Solid gains through the power band. I have an active autoworker mid pipe and will likely add their downpipes soon. I'll tune it if it ever gets bench unlock able or something not to difficult.

So map1 i’m assuming? Good to hear that you had experience with flashed cars and you’re still happy with the JB4!

Yes, Map 1 for the dyno. Yes, never thought I'd be happy with a tuner box, but it's been great with solid gains. Also looking at the sale at x-ph for Active Autoworks....bought the JB4 and Active mid-pipe from them

It's not available yet, no hard evidence its even released. many forum members have tried sending emails, all seem to beat around the bush and never give proper answers. They want TAX ID's and all other stipulations, You then get ignored. Sad but as of right now, no hard evidence proving its unlocked.

Any tuner that has a flex tool can tune it.

Based off the email traffic between multiple forum members and that company, It looks like that news release is nothing more than smoke and mirrors as of right now. Still no hard evidence. There is no open solution to consumers yet, still positive news. We are still waiting. But hopefully theres a consumer solution within a month or so i.e companies use their service. As of right now we have none.

With that said, give it a month or two and we will have a solid solution for consumer. Dont buy JB4 right now

I am running Turbo Transformer on my CS, a Bluetooth-enabled piggyback boost controller. I am pretty satisfied with the results with the default setting of a 2 psi boost increase (max is 4 psi). I will play around with the custom setting when the weather gets better.

Initially, I was going to order the Carbahn but couldn't find the piggyback module on their site. I contacted Dinan, and the sales rep said their piggyback tune won't work with CS. JB plus would work with the S55 but it's not Bluetooth enabled.

The turbo transformer is an excellent option for a quick HP increase. It's also the best price tune on the market and still has Bluetooth features.
