Most exciting new car under 75K that won't depreciate alot?

I'm looking at a Civic Type R, GR Corrola, RS3 and Golf R. I can't think of anything else under 75K new that won't depreciate like a rock.

Why is depreciation a requirement? Are you looking to flip/sell in less than 24 months of ownership?

I also vote for an M2. Best bang for the buck under $75K.

That’s because there are none. Buy a 981 GTS and sell it for what you paid later.

Exactly this.

Unless you are going to buy something and put it in a barn, they'll all depreciate like a rock and the barn one will need to wait 20 years.

OR

Buy a car that is fun to drive and drive the hell out of it

If you want to flip after 2 years why not consider a preowned car? Otherwise the first 2 years of ownership are massive depreciation, usually. Dont be fooled by Covid supply chain history…that was an anomaly.

An acquaintance of mine bought a Challenger (RT scat trim I believe). Pretty much what he is doing. Bought it last summer and he has 200 miles on it. He says it's an investment. Meanwhile he is driving around in a 10 year old F150.

I say it's one thing to not drive it in bad weather, but take it out on a nice sunny 70 degree day. Enjoy it.

Nope, it's an investment he says. Whatever..

Hate to say it but there's your answer. Unless you bin it, you'll likely even profit ffs. Why buy new when these things are so babied?

It is quite impressive how well RS3's hold their value. 3 year old 2020 RS3's with 40k miles are mid $50k on autotrader, basically what 2020 msrp was.

Type R would be a good bet as well, but can you find one at msrp? I see people suggesting G87 M2, but they are producing those at a 1600unit/month clip now.

Agree with above, 981 GTS is money in the bank.

New? Supra 6MT or Civic Type R.

Used? Porsche Cayman 981 GTS 6mt.

The Cayman will hold it's value far better than the Supra 6MT or Civic Type R.

Agreed. Challengers and Chargers are a dime a dozen. Official car of the North America Imbecile.

Just saw a Hellcat on Cars and Bids that was barely at $41k

Used C8 Corvettes are still holding their MSRP value very well.

But the days of flipping your C8 for a quick $10k to $20k are long gone though

C8 if you can get one but of those listed, I would have thought a Civic Type R would not depreciate much. I was actually looking at maybe buying a previous gen Type R not too many available and seem in high demand.

What a waste. Not even a very collectible car but no one lies on their deathbed thinking they should have driven their fun car less.

Yup. If he was loaded and had other nice cars... still whatever... But he installs floor tile for a living (no offense to people that install floor tile) and his "daily driver" is a 10 year old F150.
