Oh, is that why? Must only be a feature for the M cars. I don't remember ever setting mine to off, but do recall the sales guy did when I first got the car and drove her pre-delivery. I guess it stuck.

I leave m buttons for a hill climb or track, as to say for rather long lasting need of these configuration |

I use my M buttons multiple times on every drive. Mainly because the way my car is setup. In the default mode the exhaust note is non-existent. I call it Tesla mode...One click and the exhaust valve is open until I close it. It's as if the car had been sleeping.

I use the standard buttons as well to play around depending on my mood. My sales guy told me that the M2 button is for when someone challenges you at a traffic light and you hit the button and watch him eat your dirt.

Hello,
I dont have my M2C yet, will be next week. Am i correct that you can set three driving modes? m1, m2, and the mode when you start the car? How do you set that mode? Like if you drive the car in m2 sport+ everything mode, and then you stop the car and start the car again. Will it be in m2? Or in default mode? And can you change these settings? |

I don't recall if you can code the start up modes, but by default you can't change how its set when it starts (efficient/sport/trans mode 1).

M2= sport throttle, sport steering, TC off
M1= efficient throttle, sport steering, full traction. M2 is my 98% of the time driving mode. I found sport + throttle to be too sensitive so sport throttle is my preferred. No auto rev match and no traction control to ruin the experience. When I get into the neighborhood I select M1. That allows cruise control and nice quiet car. I've got the mp exhaust so the car is a little obnoxious with baffles open in the neighborhood. Everyone has their personal preferences, these are mine. I do love driving this car |

After 3+ months of driving, I'm still liking my settings:
After startup until warm: Efficient, Sport Steering, D2 Drivelogic (this is the only setting I change from default) - Only until about the 180 degree temp mark M1 (once she is warm): Sport, Sport, Full traction on, D2 trans. This is for cruising around town - 70% of the time M2 (when the need arises): Sport +, Sport, MDM, D3/S3 trans - 30% of the time, although this seems to be increasing Last edited by BigKutta; 04-09-2020 at 09:14 AM.. |

So no need to program an M button for that, just a second press on any M button will return you to those default settings. That means you can have some other variation on the other M button. |

Correct. I’m actually pretty annoyed the car does this rather than “remember” what settings you had before. Usually when I start my car, I switch over to comfort steering as I prefer the lighter feel. If I use my M1 or M2 settings and then turn them off again, the car will go back to sport steering. Minor annoyance, but it’s there.

Great now I have to suffer over what to program for M1. I preferred the 1M. The sport button was bs and didn't increase power so never used. All I had to do in that car was turn off TC and go |
