M Performance Exhaust for M2C, worth it?

Got a '21 8k miles, black, stick M2C.

Thinking about the first mod: exhaust. The first one that comes to mind is the M Performance one. What are your thoughts? My local BMW does not have it, any ideas of where to get it?

Yes, I do believe it's worth it. There are other aftermarket options available but if you want the piece of mind of factory it's a great option. Your dealership should be able to order it. Also, IND Distribution has it as well.

I love it on both my OG 2017 and my CS. I haver the flaps programmed open all the time.

I've thought similar, so thanks for posting. For those that have experience buying M performance parts, like the exhaust, or anything else, have you seen prices come down as newer models (G87) come to market? Or stay the same? I have a '21 as well, and have seen the price with tips at around $6K. M2C is my first BMW and first car that I would like to 'mod', so apologies if question seems odd. Thanks.

You could keep your eye out for used ones for people who have changed to something else or are parting out their car to return to complete stock if they upgraded separately.

Prices have not come down for a part like this. If anything, new ones will probably become more expensive over time as they are a low production volume unit and made with titanium.

Not a fan. The muffler is still visible sagging like the OE utter.

I don't know about the M performance but, upgrading the exhaust was absolutely worth it. It looks and sounds so much better. AA Catback with single mid pipe resonated.

I like mine, but if I didn’t already have it (installed at port), would I buy it? Probably not, way too much money. I have it paired with resonated single midpipe and it sounds great when warmed up, boomy and vibraty on cold start and first few minutes of driving. Overall I like the tone.

Have had mines for a little over 3 years, port installed. Love it everyday.

Mine was port installed and I am happy with it, it was unnecessarily expensive. I have a lot ig M performance parts and like the oem+ theme.

I had an Akrapovic race exhaust on my E90 M3 previously tho and if I had to do it all over again on my M2C, I think I'd go with Akrapovic.

The M Performance exhaust is great, in terms of sound and quality, especially if you’re going for an all OEM build.

But if the question is purely about monetary value? Hard no. At $6k+ for the MPE axel back w/ carbon tips, you can get a full titanium cat back exhaust, downpipes, carbon tips, and still have money left over for a tuning license/bench unlock.

Personally, I like the Remus Sport. Better look, better sound, all subjective
