I do think it probably has an open deck, but I learned the hard way that many of the Real OEM pics are totally wrong on the M2. This really proves nothing either way.

I really really really doubt BMW would post ON THEIR WEBSITE that it has a closed deck block if it really doesn't.

b58 block and s55 block, I don't see any wrong in real oem pics and part numbers

I agree, it would be considered false advertising. I'm almost wishing that it's an open deck because all M2 owners could cash in on a lawsuit. It's against the law to advertise something that is not true, especially if you profit from it.

My proctologist swears that the M2 has a closed-deck engine.

He said he was able to asscertain this fact by inserting his finger in the tail pipe of an M2 and feeling around.
