Brand new car. Looks great. I want one. For BMW it's a new line of product with tons of aftermarket products and racing, etc. Big boost in business.

I'm sure there's a lot of horsepower to be gained in the aftermarket. Can't wait.

I like the 360 cams... and people do realize that they are using them for VR headsets right? Not just a gimmick, people are starting to create content for devices like the oculus.

"If the old one was good, the new one is better." I assume he's talking about the 1M here.

I am very much loving LOVING this. First good feedback and granted Farfus is one of their DTM drivers, but I think the enthusiasm sounded genuine. That said, I would love to see the car on a tighter, auto-X type course or something a little more technical, but I am very much being sold on the nimble nature of the car vs the M3 which is the other contender.

Car looked pretty good, but the interior is definitely nothing to write home about. Looks practical and comfortable and actually a little surprised at how I liked the seats in the video.

Great post and thanks!

Ok the 360 degrees view is rediculasly annoying to watch.

The M2 needs M xDrive! Then I would consider it. Still awaiting an M4 with M xDrive.

I believe that is what he meant as well.

I think for the money, this is a budget concious M car. It is similar in performance to the M3/4 at a nice discount and smaller package. What's there not to like? Not sure why so many have been overly critical. Its a great car and like all new BMWs, it is better than the car it replaces. This is progress. If its not the car for you, buy something else.

I thought the 360 cam work was amazing, the quality of the actual video wasn't. Nevertheless, this clip was amazing. It really reminds of where Farfus drove with his wife on the nordschleife. Farfus really seems like a cool guy!

I don't think he ever pushed the sport button next to the shifter. Wonder why and if the asd was not as pronounced as it could have been if this is true.

The 360 video makes me wonder about running my driving SIM with vr goggles instead of in front of the 50" tv"windshield."

We'll see...

Watch it in YouTube on a mobile device. I thought it was awesome. Like you were sitting there right next to him.

Loving that purring engine note!

Welcome back to the classic soulful tunes of the straight six BMW M. I can't wait to drive this little rocket!

Surprised no one realized it sounds just like a m235 from the inside..Waiting to hear how it sounds with the OEM performance exhaust with cabin sound pumping turned off..

Extra gauge in sport displays

I noticed in the video, idrive sport display has added gauges. I'm wondering what the other gauge is. The 2 big ones are Hp, Tq I'm wondering if there is a boost gauge now??
