1M or M2C?
In the last 2 days I've driven both my 11k miles 1M and my 2k miles M2 Performance Edition and now I have a "issue". My plan was to get M2C and then decide between M2PE and M2C. But now I find I like the M2PE better then 1M.
The exhaust, the power, and then factor in I love the DCT in my M4. May end up selling both and going with M2C. Thoughts?

Keep the 1M, change the M2PE to the M2C
1M is worth holding onto long term if you can |

I'll take the 1M off your hands for a reasonable price.

I'm completely confused why you are comparing so many similar vehicles.
They are all front engine, two door , 4-5 seat coupes with RWD , LSD, and around 350-400 hp... and all made by the same manufacturer! Two of them are lighter 1M M2 PE Two of them are heavier M2 COMP M4 DCT If you have an M2 PE... and an M4 DCT... isn't an M2 comp basically combining them both? Are you ok with having two of the same car ? If so.. then sell the M4 and 1M and get an M2 comp DCT for daily and M2 PE for fun. I personally feel like the 1M is the keeper out of all 4 models .. so .. I'm probably not much help. All I know is that every time I get in my 1M, I love the 6MT , and I absolutely relish the mechanical steering. Last edited by M3 Adjuster; 06-09-2018 at 03:38 PM.. |

I'm a bit superficial perhaps, but I need a pretty girl. I passed on a 1M in my 20s because i couldn't get passed the looks. I'm not saying the M2C is gorgeous by any means... at least the 1M has personality right?
On the plus side, if you are driving it you can't see the exterior.

On the subject, I'd lo keep the 1M. It's a unique car that BMW only made a few of. The only thing with me is, I'd want to drive it a lot just for the fun of it, and not be concerned about miles or resale value. |

I’d keep the 1m and sell the m2 and m4 and get an m3cs. Then youll have a tossable 2 door toy and a dct 4 door maniac.

Keep the 1M and get the M2C as the daily.
Learn from my mistake of selling my 1M and have regretted and missed it since. Awesome drivers car that requires your attention when driving it. I also personally loved the looks of it in person (I agree in pics it doesn't do it justice at all), it has that bull dog stance. |

If you can keep the 1M as a garage queen and add the M2C, that would be my optimal solution. The main reason I didn't buy a 1M was I already have 2 cars in the garage that are not daily drivers and I need one spot for a DD that I won't worry about (as much). GL!

This would be a great combo. Also worth mentioning the 2015 F80 strippers are ~ 3400lbs (w/o adaptive suspension) with loads of torque. I wish BMW would make a manual seat, no nav, no adaptive suspension as the F80 sunsets, could be ~ 3330 lbs, add coils and you are done. |
