2 allocations available now

My CA has two allocations with production numbers that are modifiable. Feel free to message me if you're ready.

I placed an order last week in Australia. Earliest build slot I recurved was September with a November delivery.

It is certainly interesting. 84 is becoming more and more common...which is a bit nuts. That said...I thought about it. 3.99% is better than what I saw at my credit union, and for the M2C, specifically, it could be a way to de facto lease for a lot less.

Assume the car is $60k, and you negotiate down to $55k...you're back at about $60k with taxes and fees. That's $820 a month all-in, with absolutely $0 out of pocket. After 3 years, the balance at month 36 is $36,317. On a $60k sticker that's just about 60%. Doesn't work for many cars. However, I suspect even a late model M2C will be close to 60% at year 3 if you don't drive crazy miles. When you factor in that you're paying less interest even at 4% than you would on a lease because the way lease financing works, it's arguably logical.

I think we're in the same batch. My car arrived at port on wed/thurs. There was a ship bound for the east coast today. Not sure if our car will make it on. If not, the next departure is the next two Fridays.

I originally scheduled it for PCD. Does anyone recall if PCD now go to Charlestown, SC or still to Brunswick, GA?

Anybody else's car just get to Bremerhaven and headed for the US west coast? I've been trying to see what ships are at port and loading cars, but haven't been able to figure out which one I might be on yet.

My CA mentioned she has 2 allocations, and she is working on getting more. Please feel free to message me if you're ready. She got me one of the first 2021 models (built 7/3 and at the port waiting to be assigned to a vessel).

Mine hit Bremerhaven on June 9 and left July 8 on Monoceros Leader. It is expected at Port Hueneme on Aug 4. It was the third US west coast-bound vessel after lockdown.

You will not likely experience same, there appear to be 2 NYK vessels departing Bremerhaven in the next week or two.

1) can prices be negotiated prior to order being placed? If so, can the negotiated price be locked-in to prevent it from protential price fluctuation when it arrives?

2) has anyone done the M Performance Center Delivery in South Carolina? is it worth doing that as an experience upon delivery?

3) bmwusa.com doesn't have the whole M Performance line listed out (example M Performance Steering wheel), is this something BMW will add at the factory or the port? Just out of curiosity, what happens to the original parts after purchasing M Performance Parts? do they just keep it for themselves?

And just a side note, they're ETA is minimum 4 months.. wonderful lol

Thank you!!!!
Just a side note about the BMW accessories, as JCZ5 mentioned they are on the BMW website. For some reason, the prices listed on the BMW website are actually cheaper as opposed to ordering them port installed. I assume they are taking into account some form of "installation cost" when they add it to your car at port. For example ,I think the stainless steel pedals on the BMW website are ~$160. On the build sheet they come up as option Z24 $280. Just an FYI for you!

And remember-- anything installed at the port? You don't get the original part.

e.g. If you get the MP exhaust, you do NOT get the stock exhaust.

Best to order later and do yourself-- makes selling/return to stock a fair bit easier.

That is true, but also important to point out you will be charged by the dealer for installation. I did take a look and if you were to get them installed by dealer, the installation + part is actually more than the cost you see on the website. I have heard that all in, it is cheaper if getting it port installed vs. dealer.

Also true that you don't get the standard parts back. I think that is important if you're buying MP Coilovers, exhaust, wheels. Those are costly items, especially the wheels which you can easily resell. Now replacing the mirror caps and diffuser, I don't really care since I doubt someone will want to buy a plastic diffuser or mirror cap

Thank you everyone for your response.

A special thanks to ADDONE for connecting me to a dealer that I can proudly say helped tremendously for me to become a potential new owner of an M2 Competition! I put in the order and just hit production today! I'll also be going to South Carolina Performance Delivery for the first time

Will anyone else be doing the SC delivery? I was thinking of doing a small group drive from South Carolina to west side (I'm located in CA), if anyone is interested hit me up we have a while to plan it out lol.

To comment on some of your responses, I ended up ordering only the M Performance steering wheel solely to not mess with the airbag modules. I even pointed out that it's cheaper online but the difference was around a $100 so I didn't argue. I was also going to order the carbon fenders but realized they're unavailable for the MY21 M2's? hoping that that'll change by the time the car reaches the port.

Ordered from same dealership and I'm in CA too. Still trying to figure out how I'm gonna get the car! Driving it back sounds fun, but the thought of potential rock chips has me second guessing. I was going to have it shipped directly to my PPF shop so it sees 0 miles on the road, lol. I'm also worried about taking a road trip with coronavirus lingering.

I just did a ~4500 mile road trip about two weeks ago (end of June/beginning of July) with my 2020 M2C (CO-UT-NV-CA-OR-WA-OR-ID-WY-CO) and had NO issues with Covid. Everything was open and I was able to find inexpensive hotels, food and gas with no problem. I ran into a total of one gas station that had their restrooms closed for covid, but that was it.

As far as PPF-- it's a car, not the Hope Diamond. I drove mine car from the dealer to my house to PPF (the next day) with no issues. If you stay on regular roads (as opposed to interstate), you shouldn't have any issues for a few miles.

The expense of trailering the car from the dealer to PPF may not be worth it, imho.

Just my 0.03.

My 2021 m2c just started production today - got a VIN #. Doing PCD as well and plan to immediately go to extreme colors to get cross country ppf package installed. Talked to them and said that if dropped off immediately after pcd, should be ready by noon the next day. And then will start the trip home back to N VA.

Is it shameful to do the first 600 miles with blue painters tape covering the front? I’m taking delivery from our collective dealer in the deep South, and I’d rather get PPF and carbon ceramic at a local shop that provides a long warranty on the work.
