YESSS! Love to see the PFC pads.
I was skeptical at first. Line no way they will last 3 years. But here we are. I am impressed.

I’m liking the RSL1 so far. Similar bite and fade resistance to the PFC08, but easier to modulate like the RSL29. RSL29 was overheating and losing bite by the end of a 20 minute session. RSL29 was good for 10-12 days. Not sure how RSL1 will compare for pad life. |

Most of my track days have been at Nurburgring on these pads, and Nordschleife is not very hard on the brakes. For the most part big brake zones are spaced out quite well and it has a great flow. I'm sure if I was doing a shorter circuit, like Hockenheimring, they wouldn't last this long. I have 7 days on mine so far and they have ~70% of the pad material remaining.

And yes, RSL29 will fade earlier than PFC08 for me too. |

Could be a tire/setup mismatch too. I was on Hankook RS4, which aren’t all that grippy, and running 3.2deg of camber. So not optimized for braking grip, but a dozen or so days on a set of tires sure has been nice. I still want to try Ferodo DS 1.11 or 3.12 before I settle in on the RSL1. I keep hearing great things about them. Would be interested in hearing any comparison to other pads that anyone might want to share. It’s nice there are lots of brake pads out there for our cars to suit our preferences and setup, but can be challenging to find that exact match among them. Almost as bad as tires... |

Neither are anywhere close to quiet (RSL29 is no better, either). Back when I did daily the M2, I’ve had a security guard at work stop me to tell me I should get my brakes checked, and then a panhandler at a highway off ramp cover his ears and throw his head back as if he was screaming in agony due to the noise. I’ve learned to embrace it and laugh when these things happen. |

A track meet can make them shift between these in any direction. Why seems unknown to man. |

We are two M2's running the same pads Ferodo ds1.11/ds2500 on AP front and rear BBK and we love these pads, wear and performance is very good. Will squeal like hell on slow stops hehe

I was also wondering about this. My observations are when ambient is lower, like in 50-65F they are quieter at first. Once your rotors warm up to 90F-200F they are ear-piercing loud and physically hurt your ear drums. When the rotors get hotter still they quiet down again. But I thought your description was spot on!

Yes agree, they are quiet when you start out. And you go, oooh, maybe they have switched to quiet mode now? And then you brake once or twice and..... nope! Sometimes they squeal on track. Sometimes they don't Last edited by MagnusT; 09-16-2020 at 11:39 PM.. |

I spent three months in Bonn on a work exchange, with a company car, and I’m still kicking myself for not making the fairly short drive down there for a Touristfahren lap or two. I wasn’t tracking yet, but still would’ve been fun at a mellow pace, or even in a ring taxi. Oh well. Now I’ll just pay a bunch more to do what I missed out on years ago. |

Anyone tracking their M2C tuned?
Just had my first trackday in the car with m4cs map, stock tcu and everything else. Went really well and the car flies on the straights, about 8.5s 100-200 kph. Not sure if I should be worried about the crankhub though, only +60 hp over stock. I know that a few teamschirmer guys on the ring that are running 500+ hp have got crankhubs fixed. |
