VIR

I just did a two day weekend at VIR w Track Daze; had perfect driving conditions w sunny skies and temps in the 60s. Here is a video of my best lap from, of course, the last session of the last day

It was my first time in the Grand Course, which we ran on Thursday:

Enjoy.

Nice! What mods? What tires? I'm not close to those lap times but last fall was my first and only time there with the M2C.

Nice! Any braking issues or instability with that setup? One limiting factor for me is getting some sort of shudder at threshold braking. It doesn't feel like warped rotors or pad deposits but chassis related.

Nope. No issues. Sounds like a bad rotor to me.

I just had a new set of OEM rotors warp, which really means inconsistent thickness, and so a shudder developed. Using Pagad pads less than 1000 miles. Not sure how it happened but needless to say am not happy and of course dealership is of no help because of the pads not being OEM. Even though they talked me into using new rotors. Ut developed after the track day.

If you are sure it's not rotors, you might have a small flat spot on the tire that is noticeable on heavy load.

Get your rotors from fcpeuro. They'll replace for free once they're worn out.

Great driving, nice job staying on the GT3s tail (dream car). It was interesting to see how early that car was braking vs your M2, was he braking too early or you slowing down later?

You can have the rotors "turned". They essentially shave them to be uniform again. The likely cause is that you had uneven brake cooling which caused the pad wear. Make sure you are properly bringing the pads to temp and doing a cool down lap too.
