18" vs 19" Winter Wheels w/ Future Upgrade in Mind

I have narrowed my wheel choice down to the Apex E30/E31 for my winter/off season wheels for my 2017. What I need to decide on now is 18" vs 19". The 18" set w/tires is going to be about $340 less than the 19".

I am factoring into my decision on a potential upgrade down the line to the next gen M2. I know the 18" will not clear the M2C brakes so I am wondering if that will also be the case with the next gen M2.

Is it worth even worrying/speculating whether or not the 18" or 19" wheel will be compatible since there isn't much info about the car?

From my understanding the G series wheels are not compatible with the F series generation.

Ah, I looked at the M3 and it looks like they went from 5x120 to 5x112. I guess it would make sense the M2 would do the same.
