For me, I'm going with the Bridgestone S007s. The MPSS were fine street tires and I'm sure the MPS4s are better as I've heard nothing but great things about them.

However, if your looking for something more compromised for track performance than the MPS4s than you need to be thinking RE71Rs or S007s. The S007s are the replacement for the RE11s which were my go to street/track tire but have since been discontinued. I currently have RE71Rs and while I love them for the 2% of the time I am on the track I hate them for the 98% of the time on the street due to the noise. The RE11s compromised track performance compared to the RE71Rs but were dramatically better on the street. Now that they are gone and my 71Rs are about spent I'll be jumping to the S007s under the assumption that they upped the game over their predecessor the RE11.

If you want the street performance and don't track then consider the MPS4s. If you are looking for good track performance and outstanding street performance then at I'd recommend giving the S007s consideration.

Picked up some S007s. Night and day improvement over the RE71r on the street. Won't have them on the track for another month. Will see how that goes.

S007, as a max performance summer tire, is from a different category than RE71R and RE11, and is more comparable to PSS/PS4S.

There is no official successor to RE11 to my knowledge, but public perception is that RE71R replaces it.

Thanks, which makes me wonder why the heck on the M2C they still put the PSS on...

It's an extreme performance summer rated tire.

I was told by a Michelin rep that the PS4S is not a replacement for the PSS, and that they intend to sell both for the foreseeable future.

Interesting. That's all the opposite of what these articles say, and what I have read about them in general:

Perhaps I was misinformed. In any event, the PS4S will be my next tire.
