Thank god some fellow M2 drivers understand how critical the shape of the door mirrors are - not only to lap times, but also to one's standing at the local cars and coffee meets.

Some one might think we are driving a hopped-up shopping car were it not for these crucial accessories...

Some advantages that I've noticed:

- they leak much less water onto the doors after a wash (you always get some drip even after blow-drying with compressed air)

- you have a wider field of view which helps eliminate blind spots (helpful since these cars don't have blind spot detection safety systems)

- and (in my opinion) they look cooler

I don't see anything wrong with the stock mirrors, I just like these better. That's all.

I've never driven with them, but in my mind, they worsen a blind spot that is already there. When I go to make a left turn, the mirror and a-pillar are right in my view and I have to move myself to look around them. I imagine the winged mirror will make that even worse.
When putting on "M-like caps" from autoid I realized that I use the small space between the a-pillar and the mirror to spot potholes.

The "wing" blocks that spot which felt annoying for a while but now I don't think about it..

Would sure like to have the m2c mirrors on my car but the price isn't worth it for me.

They're full replacement units. Tutorial video below:

Fitment is exceptional if you're careful when installing. I can give more tips if you hit any issues.

Hated my stock mirrors so I snagged these caps on amazon for like 60.00? They are built pretty well and fit great. Thought it was worth trying before I busted out 300+ on mirrors

What is the difference between just replacing the cover and replacing the whole unit?

Obviously you do not have mirrors adjusted correctly. No blind spots for me on any car.

I mean are there any functionality differences at all between swiping just the cap and swapping the whole unit?
