News on BMW Feb '08 Financing rates?

Any news on rates for Feb? Financing or Leasing?

*crosses fingers that rates or going down, and that he is posting this in the right forum!*

So far, no updates on the BMW website about feb. apr's. In the "ask a dealer" section on bimmerfest, someone is reporting that the jan rates will continue can anyone else confirm?

Straight from bmwusa.com website

as of right now, they've updated it until feb 29th 2008, @ all the same figures as Jan

Bummer, i need a 328i, and a 335i, and i was so looking forward to getting them in feb. damn it!

btw anyone know why the 328i lost 3% of its residual value in january. In december the 328i had a residual of 61%, currently and since jan its at 58%. Thats a $1,200 difference in the course of a 36 month lease. Thats 30 bucks more a month. wtf???

I wanna 335i really badly, however i'm kinda annoyed that the money factor is .00210 when i hear people on this board stating they got .00135 money factors.

Interest rates came down massively in Jan.
Shouldn't bmw be dropping its rates to attract more cust, sell more cars, hence stimulating the econ>>????

fuck me, maybe i just dont get it........

Just contacted my local BMW dealer and spoke with someone in the finance dept. He informed me that BMW hasn't yet released any info on new rates for feb., but should be updating them in the next few hours.... *refresh* *refresh* *refresh*

IIRC, BMWs lease deals for any given month end on the 2nd or 4th of the following month so wait until Monday.

What am I trying to say is that Jan special offers end on Feb 2nd (or 4th) at which time Feb deals will show up and be effective until March 2nd (or 4th).

i hadn't checked the lease details on the BMW website before today, but they are the same deals with dates ending on Feb 29th, 2008. Have the lease deals for last month always been through feb? or did they change from Jan 31, 2008?

I know the Financing offers have been through Jan 31, 2008, but i'm not sure about lease...

If you've already submitted your credit application, the interest rate will be locked in for 60 days I believe. So depending on how long you submitted it, I would wait a few more days to see what the rates are like before signing for the car.

Yup! I have my 4.9 rate all locked in and ready to. But waiting (what is looking like) 3 days to potentialy save $1000 is well worth it!

yup a few days ago it used to be "valid throught jan 31, 2008" , now its feb 29 2008. from my observation they just adjusted the dates, no changes have been made to the actual terms of lease..........

The Feds just dropped the interest rates again so hopefully BMWFS's rates will be lower. There are indications that the Feds will lower the rates even further so if BMWFS's rates are high, other banks should offer lower interest rates still.

No rate changes except the E91 MF has dropped a little bit and the 7 series has a much lower MF. Everything else is the same.

In terms of the residual - the E92 has a 58% residual, the E90 has a 61% residual.

The 3.9% and 4.9% rates are still valid thru February.

I think its a bit ridiculous if BMW keeps their rates the same considering there have been 4 rate cuts since they started the current rates....

I don't lease but would be quite interested to know if you see a correlation between the fed funds rate and a lease rate. Again, I don't know but using common sense I would tend to believe there is no correlation and that the rates at BMWFS are in response to demand for the vehicles.

3.9% and 4.9% are incentives to push 328's and 335's. As a matter of fact, if you go to the bmwusa.com website, nearly every model of BMW has an incentive. From what I've read on this forum, while interest rates have gone down, leasing rates have gone up. Again, that to me is more marketing than it is Fed. Why in the world would anyone want to pay more to lease today than 1 year ago, when as you point out, the interest rates are in fact much lower than 1 year ago? Leasing is all about a monthly payment, which is higher than ever--that guy who wrecked his 335i '07 leased coupe and went to lease an '08 is what I'm basing that upon.

in my opinion, their lease rates are still better than the competitors. BMW subsidized them many times, but I think times changed. They are already reporting that they're looking to make more money on the current 3-series, and my guess is that a price increase will follow.

I think we were spoiled all these years. My previous car was a 05 E46 325i with PP and SP, Xenon, PDC, and my lease rate was $400/month

I had considered financing all along up until now, but with the reduction in commuting, I've been looking into leasing more and more. I'm guessing the current leasing rates on 328xi coupes are especially higher now than they have been in the past?
