Recaro Sportster CS seats in M2

I am thinking of doing this on my M2. I have so far been able to know that the blue stitching that Recaro offers is not the exact same blue as the Polarblue of the OEM BMW stitching.
Has any of you done this conversion and can provide some info on how easy the install is, if you got yours with seat heating and side airbags or not and if you chose natural leather or fake or alcantara.
Please post some pictures!

Fitment on the FIs are perfect. Who's car is this?

FWIW, I haven't seen any sportster CS installs with blue stitching just yet. But I believe that Recaro uses a darker blue. Darker enough that you would definitely notice. Perhaps better going with grey stitching.

The owner is @_youngvic on instagram. Not sure if he's a forum member.
He's actually selling the car and parting it out, sadly.

Neither have I, but if I ever do buy these seats i'd have them custom upholster'd in dakota/alancatara/polar blue stitching. I think they look rather silly in their standard form. They don't match our interiors at all.

The stock seats appear the same (excluding trim), so you might want to take a look at a neighbour forum's threads on these: Recaro Seats and Install , recaro pole position install .

I have them in my car. They are sitting on multi-point race brackets because I wanted to sit below the rear view and all of the crap behind it. I'm taller than most. I needed to re-code the mats, sensors, airbags. Mine do not have heat. (Socal) I will try and find pics to send you.

Did you get the airbags with the seat? If so, what work was done to make the airbags work (repin the connector, coding, etc)?

Those look like HREs, otherwise I agree with you.

Wow those CS's look great in the M2. Still one of my favorite adjustable bucket seats from Recaro.

We can always remedy that stitch matching problem for you

I’ve had the seats for a good few years and had them in my last 3 cars, they just needed a refresh and a colour match to suit the M2 interior.

Seat is by far the least quality interior part of our car. But I have always had reservations for aftermarket solution as when honeymoon is over it can "feel not right" a little bit every time in long term.

I'd wait and see the factory sport seat option rumored to be found on M2 comp in few months.

I know factory seat is probably made by recaro, but have to admit there's something about OEM part especially with seat, something very costly and more importantly hassle involving.

My pole position seating position is perfect and the buckets make the car that much enjoyable on the track (don't forget the laptimes)

Did you weigh the stock seats? What did you do for airbag delete?
