It was on dragon's den a little while ago and is basically a crowd sourced radar detector but has a hefty price. thoughts? experience? I'm in toronto.

For what it costs it's pointless. Just use Waze.

I would agree with stefan.

These type of mobile based informative unit just totally depends how many users are there to update the info in realtime, which is definietly offered in Waze.

Furthermore, it will not guarantee the accuracy and usability until extensive number of ppl (using the unit) reaches certain point and they could never come.

I would not risk spending extra $$ for something that is not proven yet. If you are living in Province that does not allow the radar detector, use waze with good phone mount that can keep your sight on the road while looking at the phone screen.
