If I install the UCP should I remove the BMS clutch stop? Seems to me BMS would interfere. Anyone?

It comes with its own clutch stop, if anything you'd just swap them.

I removed my BMS clutch stop and used the included one. My assumption is that they have measured the pedal travel and created an ideal geometry. Sadly the removal of BMS destroyed it. I guess it's not a big deal for $10

Tip. Remove the clutch stop when the stock pedal is out and before you install the UCP.

Still, I didn't want to worry about the clutch being fully engaged so I trimmed the piece a little with a Dremmel. Not the best work, but hey, its under the dash?!?

Overall I would say the install of the pedal was very straightforward. I am not particularly mechanically inclined and I had very little difficulty. As has been mentioned, if you attach the over-center spring prior to the shoulder bolt connection... its much much easier. Love the mod.
Do you need to bleed or mess with the slave/master cylinder at all?

Nope. I didn't even hit the plastic. The pedal force bends the plastic a little bit didn't impact the final rest point of the pedal. At least not with my setup.

I cant seem to find one for the 2020 M2CS. Every site I go to says 2019 M2C. Does it work on post 2019 M2C cars?

They are the same. You can call to confirm. I remember going through the same exercise. They were a hot item for a while and hard to get.

It definitely fixed the issue I had with how far a felt like I had to press in the pedal before it disengaged the clutch. Stark difference for first couple days of driving. Then you get used to it and can't remember the difference. Ask me now if it does anything and it doesn't feel like it. The issues with shifting I think have more to do with the individuals driving style and muscle memory. An example. Some people take off like a rocket from every single traffic light. No matter how close the next light is. I putter away from the line like an old man half the time. I think the quickness of movement can have a profound impact on perception of function.

Just installed the UCP today relatively straight forward. Took me about 2.5 hours cause I was struggling with the electronic module located left of the clutch. All of the previous tips and tricks are a must, wanted to add 1 more for the module removal.

1. Unplug the module's 2 cables, very easy to access clips are obvious.
2. The module is also held in with obvious clips that are very easy to unclip. Remove the module.
3. Module mount there is a torx screw on the far end away from the pedals. Remove.
4. This last attachment point the plastic module bracket is attached to was what took me so long to figure out. So the bracket side has a slot and a rod and goes into the U shaped hook on the car end. To remove the bracket simply pull the bracket away from the pedals and up in the direction of the screw you just removed. It is super easy once you realize how the thing is attached. Figured I share I spend an hour pulling my hair out, at 1 point I was going to APE strength it and rip it out cause I was so frustrated lol.

Can confirm. Had a UCP in my M235i, removed it and installed it in my M2C. No issues.

Thank you to all who have contributed to this thread - great tips for installation. Waited far too long into my ownership to do this modification but combined with the CDV delete it has transformed the shifting experience. I decided to go with the middle “sport” setting with both inner and outer spring installed. The clutch pedal position is much more comfortable now. Highly recommend it for all manual transmission owners.

I was able to do this without removing the camera module/bracket per se I simply took it out from the two tabs that was holding it in place (see attached photos) and relocated it to allow for more access during install. I also added some grease to the bronze bushing and metal sleeves bolts to minimize any squeaking.

Thanks EAS for sourcing it.

I bought a used UCP for my m2 and the seller did not include the clutch stop. Wondering if anyone can share which setting on the BMS clutch stop would be most similar to the UCP clutch stop. Thanks in advance.

Contact UCP. They'll send you a new one.

I just installed the UCP over the weekend and I put the spring in the middle hole setting and left both clutch springs in place and experienced the "pop" feeling others have mentioned in this thread. It reminded me of how the Nissan 370z clutch felt like and I am not a fan. I went back and removed the outer spring and left the inner as UCP instructions mentions that others have had great experiences with and I have to agree. The pop is now gone and the clutch feels great. I feel like I have to "re-learn" to drive the car now since I've been driving her with the stock clutch position and feel for the last 6 years. I would definitely recommend this mod. If you take your time it should only take 2 hours tops to do this. The Auto Solutions SSK install was much more difficult than this.
