Love his emotional story on the E28. My '88 535i was my first BMW and the one that made me fall in love with the marque. Did heavy mods on it before kids lol. His story reminded me of racing my wife to the hospital in it to deliver our first child, and years later, racing him to the ER after he broke his arm. A truly sad day when I parted with it, but am on my 3rd fiver now.

And he says "it's not like a DSG"??? If anything, the BMW DCT is most like a DSG than any other trans. His description sounded most like the SMG 1 and 2. DSG doesn't roll back because the stock DSG software intentionally idle creeps forward. |

That coutdown took a jarring turn at the 10:50 point.
Reminds me of my own tragic story; my drivers license was on life-support and a cop in my rearview mirror, persuing me but thanks my BMW, I was to leave the devil in the dust. My tires wasn't touching the floor either but license is still in my wallet, by fleeing the scene of the crime.. Now, would you please excuse me while I go get a box of tissues, for the rest of this sob story.  |
