And the gold wheels just feel much more special and unique.

The only color i wont order is black. Its nice if clean. But not forgiving in imperfections. Made me crazy.

Definitely seems that owning a black car should be calibrated against ones tolerance for having a dirty car. I'm going to do ppf on front bumper and ceramic coat in hopes that it aids the cleaning process. I'm not a cleaning fanatic so I hope it helps a bit.

Edit: this is going to be my daily beater so it will rarely be clean.

As luck would have it, there was a black M2CS sitting in the service area with black wheels. What stood out for me and immediately changed my mind were two things:
1) It ain't black. It's really dark metallic gray. It looks black in photos though.
2) It had 3 specs of dust on the hood and all three were shouting "LOOK AT ME, LOOK AT ME!" I mean, every damned one of them stood out. Then I remembered by I swore-off black (or really dark metallic gray cars) cars.
I think this is why to my eye the carbon still stands out. It's not quite black.

Here's the next question, how many of you are actually changing your color based on the results of the survey?

Nope. Hockenheim looks like a dirty pearl white to me (not seen it in person though). And silvers just generally have never appealed to me. The white is interesting from the rarity standpoint and I've liked white cars I've had before and it does make the carbon accents pop. However, I've had a very clean clear "blue cars only" standard for a while now. So no matter the color tone, it's blue if I'm ordering .

I'll likely not drive it on the street much and drive it on the track in anger with full PPF.

Hey Folks, I've been browsing and following this site from the back row since my deposit was placed back in November '19 Post launch.
Like everyone else here I nagged my SA for months seeking updates and feeding him info from the news updates here.
2 weeks ago (Sept 9th) when the allocations were announced and my dealer confirmed there incoming allotment, I was all set up to sign the line and get the ball rolling on configuration up until the sleazy car sales tactics made there presence.
5k ADM applied on a handshake deal that left me aggravated but motivated to play thier game.
I called a few dealerships in / out of state.
One offered me a spot a 10k ADM - FOH.
Another a dealer out of state offered me a chance at 2k, but then I have to deal with shipping in winter which has been discussed here - PASS

I made one last in state request online and bingo!
Found a deal at MSRP on their only allocation, that wasn't really even in their system at that point.

After I told my original Dealer what was up, they lowered their offer to 3k ADM..

Anyway...
I currently have my production number and am anxiously awaiting the process to get underway like so many others here.

My Specs:
MB – 6MT – M-CCB - GLD 763M – Cup2

Happy to officially be a future first time Bimmer owner w/ the M2 CS!

we now have 10 percent of all USA allocations represented in this poll. Car will sell out by early spring....perhaps sooner.

Changed my Order!

Dave,
I changed my order - can you reset my vote? Was MB/Black wheels. Is MB/Gold wheels. Can't believe I did it, but..... well, I did.

It's crazy how once you place your order you start second guessing all your choices. Should I have gone ccb, the blue is starting to look nice, DCT? Lol. I can't wait for my car to get here so I can stop.

HS was the launch colour for the M2C. BMW matches colours to chassis until the optimum is found. HS always looked good on the F87 shape and even though it was never going to be selected for the follow up CS launch colour it was destined to be a great match.

I would recommend anyone that is planning on misano to go see it in person on an x2 or z4- it’s way different in person. I took a pic on my iPhone and it doesn’t look as dark of a blue in person and is a bit more electric/ just a foot note

Long time Pcar guy here, I had no intention of jumping into the M pool but after a dealer friend called ( he has Porsche and BMW) and told me he had an allocation if I wanted it. I did a bit of research and voila I’ve grabbed the allocation. I immediately knew it was going to be MT, CCB and Gold Wheels but boy have I had trouble settling on a color. I’m currently a HS selection but keep looking at the other colors. In some pics that HS looks amazing and then in others for me it looks washed out. My guess is somewhat like Guards Red for Porsche what photographs and how your eye sees it in person are very different. Would be interested in getting anyone’s perspective on this that has seen the CS in person in HS.

I was just looking at HS this past week as my dealer has an M2C in HS. It's a really classy looking color -- since you are a Porschephile, I would relate it more to a color like fashion grey (though lighter) than any kind of silver you are used to with Porsche (it's nothing like Rhodium, GT Silver, Arctic or Polar). It's subtle and classy looking.
Thank you and very helpful! I was hopeful it had the kind of hue you describe.
