Brought my OG in for a regularly scheduled oil service. Mentioned some noise from the diff. Tech condemned and BMW NA is picking up the tab under the remaining factory warranty. My SA indicated the repair bill was $7400. Here is my shiny new pumpkin. Absolute shout out to the service department at Zimbrick in Madison. 10 out of five stars!

What were the production dates for your cars and how many miles did you have when you noticed the issues? There was the 3 month window in 2016 where they had a stop sale on M2s because of bad diffs. Wouldn't be unheard of to find out that window is probably a bit wider than originally thought

2016-08-31 build date. MY 2017. 28,080 miles. Was exhibiting odd noises that are hard to describe. It was more of a feeling when cornering or really accelerating hard where something just didn't feel right. I mentioned the symptoms in passing when in for a normal oil change. I was surprised at the confirmation, frankly. Glad I mentioned something.
