In this case, these are the revised geometry intakes made out of ABS (instead of SLS nylon). Not to self, they are not as flexible.

Also I thought I had the eyes of a 25 year old and basically made the screen setup so small to put together, that I can barely even see the screws. F that, were going with a new design (in print).

In the pics you see the general idea of a snap on / screw on screen.

Great update! I print a lot of Polycarbonate and it might be a better filament choice if you need a little flex and high strength.

Could you not adapt it to use the OEM M3/4 screen?

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=13_1612

Also you can print the screen in place like im doing with brake scoops (I am assuming the intake part of the scoop is on the print bed).

The OEM part is cool, but was bored over COVID and wanted to make something that flows better air so the scoop is a bit larger, taller and more narrow than OEM

I use Raise3D Premium Polycarbonate filament. Should allow 8-10% more flex and more strength(unsure how much; depends)

Again, apologies for the delay, should be installed in the car this weekend and I will generate some numbers. I had to refab the screens a couple of times to make assembly easier. I've already committed a decent amount of cash to the prototypes, but could easily make revision after revision... lol

Here are the screens. I havened polished off the edges to make them look pretty yet but wanted to get some pictures up on here. These are ABS plastic (intakes and screens)... and the screens are removable... paintable...

The screen is pretty secure even without the screws... but I added screws just to be certain.

Looks great! Let us know how the install goes and if I can pay you for the stl files so I can print these puppies!

Malakas not sure if u are selling the finished product or releasing the STL's to the general public.

Since I'm OS and interested it may be an option to use local 3D printing houses to distribute the item. This way you are offloading the print times and shipping costs while potentially recouping some cost.

Anyway just a thought.

Add me to the list as interested in the item

**UPDATE**

Again, apologies for the slow development times on these... a more than full time job is getting in the way.

Good news... fitment of the snorkel itself is dead on and tucked nicely to the sides. I've added the redesigned grill pieces which fit great and look pretty nice.

The bad news... i dont love the way it fits into the stock piece (the tolerances are too tight), so I think we need one more improvement before its finally ready for people who dont want to spend hours cursing ... (sending to print today).

I THINK... these are good enough to do some testing of IAT and maybe a dyno pull. The way they feed air in... there should be a small bump in power (but then again, goals were just a drop in IAT... power would be a bonus)

I am able to install without removing the front bumper 100%. I'm not the most handy around cars, but I have done all the installs and removing the radiator support (over and over) myself. Its pretty straightforward and will supply instructions and pictures - I have definately figured out some tricks to make it easier...

No real plans to sell these, but we will figure out a way to get them to people who are interested... if not just simply supply the file.

OK that is dope as shit.

What do you mean by the rad support? Its not possible to do it by just removing the kidneys? I'd love the final STL when your done
