They'll start extending those shifts in mid-July. They normally do 1000 cars a day, I don't think they will be anywhere near that for a while. I don't think this is Covid limited, but rather demand driven... Hopefully your car isn't too far away.

My car was ordered only this week and that's the pdf they supplied to me (seeing as it's difficult to get into dealerships in NSW currently) so it's the latest spec, it is a 2020 build for delivery sometime in Sep/Oct - I'm not holding my breath but I'm not in a hurry... So busy at work I won't have time to drive it much until then anyway!

I didn't think there had been a "Pure" since late 2018?
Thanks for the update re Leipzig. Im still waiting on an answer re build (ordered mid Feb).

The spec sheet is an update since my Feb order. Pure was still available to order in Feb, and there were more options available too that are now standard. Manual was a NCO in Feb too, but it seems now the DCT price has copped the increase. RRP driveaway pricing for a manual is the same as what is was for either DCT or 6MT back in Feb. RRP in Vic for DCT is now 123k, 6MT 116k...

Annoyingly, the 437M is now a no cost option in Australia. Whereas my 2020 build and April delivered M2 Comp was available with the 788M wheelset. With only the Pure model previously available with the 437M wheelset in M2 Comp.

Damn I prefer the 437’s over 788’s.

I managed to lock in a build today, managed to get into the 90s for a build to order in very basic specs that I wanted (specifically no sunroof), the numbers are not quite as impressive as others here but I'm quite happy with the deal I got.

Should take delivery of the car towards the end of the year.

I'm really debating which wheels I should choose as I do have that choice now! hmmmm

I see! When I was getting insurance quotes they distinguished between pre and post Mar '20 builds with the options reflecting the pdf I posted.

On another note I've got a build date now, Week 23, 01-07 June

The specs I went with are

- Hockenheim Silver
- DCT
- Blue Stitch
- Through load 40/20/40
- 437M wheels

I was initially offered a dealer to change his June build to my specs but I found a better deal so I'm looking at a August build but if they can secure me an earlier slot that would be even better.

Do you charge anything before the purchase of a car?

Thanks for your post with the May 2020 price list. As others have mentioned above, the gap between the DCT and the 6MT has increased to $7,000.

When I ordered my car in late-2019, the MRLP for DCT & 6MT was $104,900.

In May 2020, the 6MT price dropped by $2,000 to $102,900; and
the DCT went up in price by $5,000 to $109,900!

I imagine many of the existing M2C owners would be happy with the increase in the value of their DCT M2C. And for those who are thinking about buying one in the future, the 6MT pricing must look enticing.

Yes correct, the price did go up after MAY 2020.

The changes for after may 2020 orders are:

- Heated Seats now included
- Wireless Charging now included
- Option to choose 437M wheels
- Pure model deleted

Mine seems to be included, however I did not ask the dealer for apple car play as I use Android.

This is the build sheet my sales sent me to confirm my specifications.

Anyone in Melbourne want to trade my 437's for their 788's? Only 3.5k done on them.

No tires, just wheels.

Ha, I only over the long weekend just listed the same swap proposal (but reversed 788's for 437's). But posted to my local group as Central Coast, NSW based.

I have replaced the Silver 788M’s on my month old M2 Comp. They are ceramic coated and about as close as you’ll find to new, short of buying new direct from BMW.

I’m interested to see if anyone has an unmarked set of genuine 437M’s they’d trade in exchange for these 788’s?

- Preference is for a Ferric Grey set, but would consider the Black/Machine finish.

Good luck with your trade.

Hi ///Driver

I came late. Hopefully you found the answer for the price difference between MT and DCT.
So did you get your car? Do you enjoy it?

Hi everyone,

New to this forum but have been following it for the past few months now.

Am currently in the market to place an order on a new M2 Competition (HS with sunroof). So far i've been in contact with a dealer (Col Crawford BMW) and have been able to negotiate a price in the low one-teens. Was wondering if anyone had any contacts from BMW Sydney that i could speak to? Am willing to put a deposit by the end of the month.

Thanks in advance!

the 2 dealerships you've mentioned are probably the 2 Sydney dealerships least likely to negotiate a deal (assuming you don't have a prior relationship). There are 5-6 others in Sydney metro-Central Coast, in the current climate you should be able to do $90K drive-away
