I don't like the sound of this

I don't run stage 2, but I have noticed exactly the same feeling once installed my Wagner cated downpipe, and it's very noticeable in Comfort mode

I'm damn sure it wasn't there before the dp install, I have been running VF stage 1 for quite a while prior to that

THIS! I have the new Wagner as well and it throws a code within 5 minutes of clearing.

If this is a bm3 issue, it should be easy to correct no? Just throttle mapping...

Does stage 2 BM3 absolutely need 93 octane?

Yes of course. Stage 2 gains are already limited by octane. If live in Arizona California Nevada use the ACN 91 otherwise stick to 91. Then log to see the quality of your gasoline.

So I live in Canada and where I am, there is only octane 91, anything higher comes with ethanol and I don't want that. So what tune am I to get once I get a high flow sport cat dp and intercooler? Leave it in stock tune or Stage 1?

I have a similar dillema as I live in Toronto. I'm using Shell 91 which has zero ethanol, but I'm not actually sure if this is a big deal or if it's just a gimmick to be honest. Regardless, I was thinking once I get DP/FMIC/CP and maybe a DV, to maybe consider trying out the stage 2 91 ACN tune that's meant for lower quality gasoline.

Is our Shell 91 here also ACN? I read somewhere Shell in Ontario had their own refinery in Sarnia... But as long as BM3 has an ACN 91 tune for stage 1 and 2, which I didn't know, then it should be okay I guess?

I've been under the impression that our gas is as bad as ACN, but I could be wrong as I don't know any specifics. But yeah there should be ACN maps to try out that might pull timing less.

I do know some folks on stage 2 93 using Petro Canada 94, and timing does get pulled. I don't have logs to back that up, though.
