How to wire a radar detector in a M2C?

Looking to mount a Uniden R7 with a blendmount rear view mirror mount.

Two wiring options are available: Mirror Tap and Hardwire.

Not sure which to use. Or what to tap into.

Suggestions?

I *loathe* electrics, so "Dick and Jane" is appreciated.

TIA--

R.
