Based on this CS sub-forum, the people that are getting a CS are exactly the ones that BMW intends this car to go to. ADM is a shame, but I respect those that had to pay it for convenience and comfort of getting what they want. If you keep the car for a long time, you won't even notice it.

I was rewatching another video and he was comparing the price of a M2CS to a GT4. I wouldn't be shopping these two because of my needs, but for those that are:

In some Markets
M2CS: 112k
GT4: 120k

That's very little difference and I could see the GT4 be the much better value for some depending on needs.

US Market
M2CS $85k
GT4 $100k (Bull****)
GT4 lightly optioned with what I consider must have ($110k) and that's buying a car not feeling good about the purchase. My spec is $120k

Is a cayman GT4 in the US worth $15k to $35k more than an M2CS. Some will say absolutely, and others will say not at all. My point is that basing a performance review on cost doesn't make much sense to me. It still comes down to what you want.

Here is my story with the CS:

https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=26783875

I have to say the price is ridiculous but with 1.9% leasing, with >25% of discount and a 48 months residual @ 41% the car is still cheaper (to lease) than my previous F80. So in my case the CS is a « downgrade »

Regarding CS vs GT4 (or Spyder for me), I have to say that in my country (and in my case) these two car are not comparable in terms of pricing. I mean GT4/Spyder are like 50% more expensive to lease than a CS. So there are no more rivals. Plus you have to pay for maintenance. BMW have 10 years or 100k kms of free maintenance in Switzerland. The " best " rival of the CS could be the new M4 actually in terms of price (even if the M4 costs 10% more).
