The 1M was a more upright car, whereas the M2 is lower, and possibly longer. In fact, the M2 looks wider, due to the flares. And since it has the M3/M4's rear suspension, it might be wider. If the 1M had the e92 M3's rear, and if the F8X rear is wider than the e9X rear, I guess logic suggest I am right.

Looking good, thanks for posting! I love the balanced design so far....elegant and sporty. Noticeably more aggressive than the standard series but showing enough restraint to keep it from looking overstated.

1. Please track test against the dinan 1m n54!!!!!
If it's even 200lbs lighter and just a little cheaper the f80 makes more sense. 2. So far I think the 1m looked more aggressive.

Beautiful car and very clean looking but a bit on the tame side on the front end. Hood needs to be a bit more aggressive, some vents would go a long way. This car is certainly shaping up to be the perfect car for me but I would like to see more visible standout features over the m235i and more aggression.

Can't spot much else, but just a side profile comparison;
So glad the pug front end of the m235i has been done away with, really was something that bugged my eyes; |

During testing the F8x also had adjustable headrests on the drivers seat to hide the fact that it had the new single piece seats. When journalists got to ride along the cars in pre-release testing they fitted normal 3-series seats in them. So don't read too much into the headrests. |

Could we be getting even more design cues from the Vision GT6 in the normal ///M2?
Thought I'd mock something up with a comparison. May also give us hints into this "sibling" while we at it. If this details is near correct, the ///Ms are really differentiating themselves nicely with some bespoke detail. Front bumper detail Vent detail Rear bumper detail (not too dissimilar to the X5/6M rear bumper) Last edited by UpNcOmINg!; 03-26-2015 at 02:28 AM.. |
